You are funny Dave Shaw, anyway it was good to see, that you must have voted that you need more time, so at least it seems the positive vibes on this forum are starting to rub off on you. Onward and upward my dear man, this is our time, we will march to the top.

Hi Andy Gull, Didn't mean to call anyone stupid Just a phrase to hightlight that the season is a long term event although I appreciate that the season can be lost in the short term such as the games in February leading up to and including the Aldershot game. Will get back to enjoying Holiday. Hopefully we will be second on my return next weekend. Hope your holiday is great and that you return to the scenario we all hope for

Who else would we have in his place?
Young and keen. Still learning but hey, it's still better now than two seasons ago.
I hope we'll be pushing for play-offs but as long as I don't see the 'hoof-ball' football, I won't be calling for anyone's head.

Well, last nights result will have stirred things up a bit!
The chickens came home to roost. Poor defence and weak attack. Problems that should have been sorted out ages ago.
The measure of Bucks now is how he reacts and puts it right. My opinion is that this result could have done us a favour. It will force Bucks to change his approach. If he ignores this opportunity and dogmatically refuses to see the obvious then we can draw our own conclusions.
12 games!

Then we still have 9 games left Dave, plenty of time to take a step back, see what all the fans can see.Once that is done, try plan B, unlike last season we now have a squad with more depth and therefore have the opportunity to have a plan a, plan b, or even a plan c.
You said 12 game so until they are up, keep doing your best to support.

67% still have faith in Paul Buckle, so its good to see most have not written him off just yet. Still plenty more members who have not yet voted, so lets have those votes folks.

Dave Dave, How about resetting the counter just before each game, bring the thread back to the top and ask if people will vote again after the next game. Whilst i will vote yes again, i suspect that the support might decrease/increase after each game. It would be interesting to see how the results fluctuate throughout the season.

tufc01, polls can't be reset, I do like your idea, but feel it would just swing far too much, win a game they will all love him again, lose the next one and blood will be called for.
I will do the same poll again after 6 games to see how the voting has changed then, then maybe another one after 12 games, when many might want him out by then, if form and results had not improved.

Buckles recent record is as follows: - Rushden (A) Lost York City (H) Drew Cambridge (A) Lost Crawley (H) Lost Exeter (Play offs) Lost Ebbsfleet (FAT) Lost ------------------------------ Histon (A) Drew Woking (H) Won Ebbsfleet (H) Lost
Why do people want to give him 12 games - we saw how tactical useless he was last year and his love of 'HOOFBALL' - nothing has changed. The board should now be looking for a replacement (but not Rosenoir) Watched the game on Setanta (exile) and it was an embarrassment to be a Torquay supporter watching that shite

Oh for goodness' sakes, what is this? dot net?
It shouldn't be about point scoring here. This is a place to discuss how we feel about torquay united in an enlightened manner and if, after the absolute shambles that was our 'performance' at home to ebbsfleet, ANYONE wanted to defend the management team they could have and did. It was a pathetic performance. The worst I, personally, have ever seen. But the Buckle defenders have been proved right, thank god.
To dreg this up now is pathetic.
Some of us were right, some wrong. I myself never thought Buckle could get us up and he did. I'm now turning, due to a revisionist history of his 2 years here, to thinking that he is the man for the job. Does that make me capricious? Of course not. We re-evaluate. We move on.
We don't point score.
Can we not enjoy this with our sticking our tongues out and spraying our pathetic spittle over everyone?
We are going up...WELL DONE PAUL BUCKLE.

Oh for goodness' sakes, what is this? dot net? It shouldn't be about point scoring here. I referred BACK to this pathetic attempt to undermine the manager at the START of the season to remind everyone of just who stood where and to invite them to comment in the light of just what the manager has achieved and (had the board suffered the same lack of intellect as shown by his detractors) might never have had the opportunity to. To make such damning criticism at the START of the season would surely have been to indicate a dissatisfaction with the way Bucks had conducted his planning BEFORE the season had even started, unless it was a childish petulance over the disappointments of the ending to the previous one....................................

Ridiculous as usual merse. How do you know we wouldn't have gone up in the auto spot had we changed managers rather than limp in riding our luck after more crap performances. The start to last season was pathetic and deserved outrage.
Oxford and Crawleys points deduction rather helped our end of season league position. But i expect you think PB was responsible for managing this windfall too.
