It is only six weeks since the transfer window saw Benyon and Wroe go out one way and Stanley and Robinson come in another with Torquay and Shrewsbury managing to swap players in this process. As stated by jmgull on another thread, Shrewsbury didn't put any restrictions on Robinson playing against them even though he remains their second top scorer in the league this season and maybe it will be something they come to regret. I think it will be a case of the old boys trying to prove a point and interestingly both managed to score on their respective debuts though Wroe has yet to add to his tally. Looking at the Shrewsbury side, they seem to be doing better away from home at the moment winning the last three games on the road against Northampton, Lincoln (5-1 ) and Southend. Wroe is being partnered by a young Wolves midfielder, David Davies who has just extended his loan to the end of the season. Mark Wright is their top scorer with 12 so could be one to watch out for. Once again, Buckle has managed to strengthen the side with a striker up front in the form of Ronan Murray. Although he isn't a target man that many were looking for, he is said to be quick and if not sent straight in the fray, could be used as an impact substitute up front which is something that has been missing certainly since Benyon departed. Against a good side, I would like to see Zebroski play on the right wing in part because of the ground he covers defensively but also because he offers more strength going forward as opposed to Danny and Eunan who perhaps should contest the other wing. I think this will be a good match to watch and hopefully after a decent performance against Stevenage, a good crowd will be there to create a decent atmosphere.

I’m looking forward to this game even more now than I was, the news that we have signed two strikers on loan, is very good news indeed. Bucks does like to stick new loan players straight in the starting eleven and I’m sure that is what he will do in this game.
If I’m right then I can see us playing 4-4-2 with Gavin Tomlin up front with Ronan Murray. Jake Robinson on the left wing and Zebs on the right wing where I feel we get the best from him.
I do think we need to play Lee Mansell in midfield and therefore I think its time once again to give Mark Ellis another chance and move over Robertson to the right back spot.
I hope Nico keeps his place, I do find it a bit strange we seem to not be using his long throw -ins, but maybe that is because we are not pushing Branston and Robertson up for long throw-ins level with the opposition’s penalty area.
I believe my line up and formation would give us plenty of bite up front, good width and a solid midfield and hopefully tight defence. I can’t see Paul Buckle making any change in goal, those two saves Potter made in the Stevenage game, showed what a great shot stopper he is. I’m still a bit worried about his ability to deal with high balls coming in from corners etc, but I’m sure that is something he works on in training.
The Shrews were once considered our Bogey Side, but in more recent times they have not done so well on their trips to the English Rivera. Their away form does seem to be very good mind you; they have only lost one game out of their last six on the road and won three of those games.
Shrewsbury Town are a very well funded club with the new Greenhous Meadow generating valuable income right through the week for them and last year they signed veteran manager Graham Turner from local rivals Hereford United. He has done well to get the Shrews up into forth place in the table and this is not going to be any easy game to win by any strech of the imagination.
In saying that this is the sort of challenged our boys so often rise to and while we were very poor against Aldershot on Tuesday night, our players know they are far bettter than that as they proved in the second half against Stevenage.
Lets hope for a good gate for this game, also a great atmosphere to help cheer the team onto victory. We can win this game and by doing so would help our promtion hopes no end.

Sadly, I don't think our new strike force will have time to get to know each other well enough before 15:00 tomorrow. So I predict we are gonna get thumped!

Well maybe they can spend tonight twittering each other to solve that problem good strikers know where they need to be and know what runs to make and also know where the goal is. Did not Jake Robinson score in his very first game for us? not sure he had time to get to know everyone. Yes the more players play together the better they learn each others game, but all players know the positions they play and what that position requires then to do. Have some faith there dear register

A quick glance at the table and you will see that a victory would leave us only five points behind a side well placed for automatic promotion, having played one game less. Defeat and the manager must go well maybe we're just not good enough.
But if last week’s rousing second half performance and victory over Stevenage boosted morale and got people thinking, how good would three points tomorrow be? The woeful midweek performance at Aldershot becomes a distant memory and it’s not only the play-offs but an automatic promotion slot that becomes a realistic target.
A massive game for the players and one I’m looking forward to.

The woeful midweek performance at Aldershot becomes a distant memory Fans very quickly forget matches like the Aldershot one Brian if the team give a fine display in their next match. One would hope if we do win then a number of our stay aways will feel we really are on a promotion push and they want to be a part of it. In some past seasons the gates have greatly increased in the final five or six games, if it looked likely we stood a good chance of going up.
