It was a great opening goal from Tomlin after 5 minutes. Nice to see a striker with the compose to chip the ball over the 'keeper rather than blast the ball at him. Tomlin didn't look 6 foot.
Should have been 2 nil but Tomlin fired at the keeper and Robinson couldn't direct the ball towards the goal.
Why the Shrewsbury number 18 (Grandison) decided to storm in like that with a tackle from hell is beyond me. Mind you if that tackle had been committed at Anfield last week he would have escaped with nothing more than a caution. Mind you he was very poor, very poor indeed - in fact when he got sent off, some of the crowd were asking for him to stay - Shrewsbury were more of a liability with him on the pitch than without. It was a bad tackle and I can't understand why he and some of the Welsh team were complaining.
Cue chants of "You've got the worst right back in the world", which changed as each Shrewsbury player played badly. Shrewsbury couldn't shoot or pass straight if their lives depended on it..
Four second half goals witha fine penalty from Robinson and a cut inside and another bulges the onion bag. You can only assume that Robinson must have upset Turner pretty badly for him to get transfered. Zeb's who must get player of the season got the 4th via a deflection and to compound the Shrews misery an own goal for our 5th.
A quick word on Nicky Wroe. He made a few tackles in the first 10 minutes of the first half and then seemed to do what he does best, disappear. Craig Stanley is 10 times the player he is and must be signed up. Cue chants of "Nicky, Nicky what's the score" must have got on his tits, but hey ho.
Have to agree with Dave's comments of yesterday, we have to pass the ball to beat teams. Today was one of those.

I had the pleasure of speakng to Billy before the match as he was stood by the tunnel with Macklin... and I just asked why he wasnt involved today and he just said his ankle is still giving him jip... So have to take that as gospel ..... Seemed a nice lad btw ( he's a deffo Strickland Banks lookie likey tho
