Well I know It Is said to win the manager of the month award Is often a curse, but If we win On Saturday, then surly Bucks would win It. OK the start Of this run came about win a pen at the end Of a game, where we played very poorly, but I think we have rightly earned all the points since then.
What a difference a few games and results can do, not just for the team, but the whole club and yes all us fans. Lets enjoy the good times while they are here and If he does win It, give him the praise that Is due.

Well we had better hope that If he did win It, be did not suffer the same fate. I don't think he will, he has had some luck and good fortune and I think It will stick with him for a while longer yet. You see I was correct to be more positive at the start Of this month, I knew a few problems had been sorted and the players were going to be more up for it.

Now come on Stu, I can't tell you all my secrets ;D the real point Is I have always said criticise If It is in order to do so, but If you do, you must always be prepared to heap the praise on when that Is also due.
I bet he will sleep so much better, than he has lately and with any pressure off can concentrate even more to keep getting the results.

Well, Napoleon said "I would rather have a lucky General than a good one". I think Buckle falls into that category, because he certainly isn't a good one.
Having said that, it's all about results and he's got them albeit by the skin of his teeth. The biggest problem for me is that the deluded will herald this as some sort of validation. It's not. Buckle will not get us out of this league. The sooner we realise this the better.

Oh yeah Dave, did you see the game last night? Get out of your box and come see the light. We played some cracking football last night and the finishing's all coming together again. You have no idea what's happening on the pitch and the team all look up for it, look sharp and have ability. Bucks had no luck last night with the two injuries but we still snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Please extract one's cranial parts from one's lower end and move on.

Dave this thread Is called manager Of the Month and not If we will be going up this season. If we win on Saturday then Bucks will win the award and any manager that can get four or even five wins on the trot, after such a poor start, must surly deserve to win it.
If I had said to you at the beginning on the month, how about a bet? said that I was prepared bet you we would win our next four games, you would have bitten my hand off mate, taken my money and spent it. believing I was some sort Of fool and that you just had the most easy payday, for sometime.
Only you would have had to pay me and I would be the one laughing. The team has deserved the last nine points that Is a fact, so If the manager has to take the blame when we fail to get points, he should also get the praise when we do. You simply can't have It both ways, so lets hear a round Of applause from you, for the results this month.
No one Is really foolish to believe that, now we have won our last four games, we are going to get promotion, but having those points, sure makes the league table look a lot better, don't you agree?
Until It was impossible to be able to go up, you can't really say, that Bucks will not get the team promoted, no one knows,It will be a case Of wait and see. What we do know Is that any football team will have a time when results are good, they will also have times when they fail to get many points. We could keep this run going and everyone will be happy, but lose the next four games and fans will start calling for changes again.
Lets say no changes were made and then Bucks wins the next five games and the mood will be like It Is now again, more hope, more positivity and more believe In Bucks. So we really just need to enjoy the results we are having now, not start getting carried away, If we lose a few games and try and remember It Is a season long competition.
Maybe as you seem to think he has been luckily, maybe he and the team were due some, but you take It If its there, because there will be games when we will play so well and lose out to the other team getting all the luck. Its your team Dave, who are at this time doing well, be happy for them the fans and Bucks, who has had to deal with a lot of pressure. He stuck to his task and has turned the results around.
I fail to see how any fan could not happy with our turn around, I know so many have been lifted by the results, I know I have, so lets do what we did before this run, just take every game and result as they come.

Buckle will not get us out of this league. The sooner we realise this the better. What utter, utter rubbish. It clearly ISN'T all about results as last night showed. It's about the manager imposing his authority and personality on the WHOLE of the squad to show the same work ethic and team spirit that we saw in the first half of last season. The same work ethic and team spirit that we have seen at Cambridge and FGR. It's about the board recognising that and not being unduly influenced by results during a small window of the season. It's about the board not being influenced by the ridiculous rantings of misinformed whingers and moaners who have as much experience of going through an "off spell" as a participating sportsman as you or I have of loving Queen Talula of Upper Volta and her seventeen sisters , Dave! It's about being sportsmen out there on the field of battle rather than "Pygmy Generals" banging away on some key board, and it's about actually "doing and achieving" rather than pontificating, carping and criticising; stuck in a time warp of petulant disappointment because the next door neighbours sneaked in and had it away with yer missus whilst you where at work which is how Bucks must have felt when the play offs went wrong last season. The manager and the squad have put that well behind them, so should you along with all those silly buggers who have mysteriously disappeared from the HE site in the past fortnight - then you might actually ENJOY being a Torquay United fan a bit more!

Well said Merse. People should support the team through the hard times and enjoy the good times. The good times taste so much sweeter. If you can't get excited about last nights result, then there is something seriously wrong with you. Manager of the month. Undoubtably.

What a bitter man you have shown yourself to be Dave S, your one dimensional posts are quite frankly boring, as far as I'm concerned you don't put any valid input into this forum. you've been very vocal with your anti-Buckle opinions so there's really no need to go on. Dave R quite rightly made it clear that this thread was about PBs achievments this month....not you repeating your same old opinions no matter what results we get

Interesting interview with Buckle. Seems to be hugely hinting at players coming in very soon. www.bluesqfootball.com/story/0,20970,13040_4189312,00.html

As far as I am concerned, everyones points of view are valid on this forum, and everyone has as much right to post them no matter wether they are pro or anti buckle. If it bores you then skip past them.
Keep posting Dave.

Ta Jimbo. For the (deleted) i will state this again. NOTHING would give me greater pleasure than to be WRONG. If i am then we have got promotion, i look a tw@t but who gives a toss. If i'm getting on peoples tits i really don't care. I will say it as i see it and will be delerious when we go up. Now for the sheeple shouting blasphemer and heretic because i dare to not follow in behind the lead sheep. Carry on with your evangelical double speak. I say it again and stand by it. Buckle does NOT have what it takes to get us out of this league. He's already shown his inability to adapt. He's got lucky recently, but so what, we've 12 more points on the board. Don't care as long as we get them. However it's the long term position that concerns me and this guy can't cut it when the chips are down. How mahy examples of this would you like me to bring up? I'm a Gulls fan to the core and always will be.
