this guy can't cut it when the chips are down. How mahy examples of this would you like me to bring up? Some could argue Dave that the chips HAVE been down over the last few weeks, and that he has answered MOST of his critics by letting the results do the talking

Jim, After reading your post I reread my own, and can't see where I told Dave S he was no longer (in my view) welcome to post? I merely pointed out his posts have only one topic and no reasoning and don't see why people have jumped on me for this before I could read Dave S's reply. I think I actually said to just 'move on' as have others!
Dartgull, I am not a regular poster as you've kindly pointed out but I like to give my opinions now and again like everyone else does. The posts to Dave you read were a result of frustration after reading post after post of people close to giving up on TUFC, my posts were to get people to keep the faith and stay hopeful (however well I put them across)
Most of us on here have the same agenda, to watch our team do well whoever is in charge...others will not be happy until PB has gone, but really they should be praising the lads for a job well done and hope we can keep this run going. negativity is not needed when it is not followed by facts or reasoning at this time. Fair enough letting out a bit of frustration when you have travelled to a game to watch a poor performance and bad result, I can fully understand that. I am in noway rose tinting the situation, but we should enjoy this good time while it lasts don't you agree?

On any forum, members will always have different points of view and Its a good job they do, If not we would all be nodding and agreeing and that would simply be boring.
To be fair to Dave, he has stuck to what he believes and has said you can call him all the names you want If It turns out he was wrong. What Is important to remember, Is that If we do not agree with someone else's view, we should still respect the fact that It Is their view and as adults we do not need to start putting labels on people or resort to name calling.
I have said before we do not believe It is our place to start telling people what they can or cannot say on here, nor do we want to start having to edit posts and I thank Dave for doing the correct thing and editing the word that I found offending and really should not have been used.
Still think Bucks will become the manager of the month and fully deserved.

Louise, what gets me about all this "Buckle Out" crap is that it is not as if we've even remotely looked like getting relegated under his tenure, let alone looking likely to go down for a second season running like under one former manager who was actually begged not to resign by the club! There are an unhealthy number of critics who are on the guy's back who have no conception that assembling and developing any lasting success in football requires time and patience. They seem to assume that unless we won instant promotion back to the Football League the current regime is by their definition, "a failure".They fail to grasp the point that the on the last two occasions OUR club won promotion there was a complete absence of long term development or indeed a recognition that in order to flourish in a higher league, the squad had to be constantly under review and subject to gradual addition and weeding out. This, the current manager has been undertaking since last January when he began to add better quality players like Adams and the more recent additions who took a little time to settle in to the established fitness and hard working mantras that the incumbents were already well versed in. Critics who fail to grasp the very basic point that, following years of structural dismantling and a total failure to even have a long term plan or any apparent ambition; OUR club is now undertaking a work in progress that might well take a few years to achieve and that if the club is to change the manager so easily then it is consigning us (the supporters) to a game of "Footballing Snakes and Ladders"......................two steps up, one step back; one up - two back - you get the picture. I've too read this thread carefully and you have posted nothing to be reproached over, indeed your posts have been a cry of sanity amidst what at one time was threatening to become a mad house of self destruction. Of course, everyone is entitled to air their views on a forum; but to repetitively and incessantly state the same tired mantra without being able or willing to contribute anything new to a debate only serves to undermine one's own argument and eventually to totally destroy it oneself.......................and as far as I can see, there is only one player still at the table doing that!

Good, I agree, I'm glad I can freely express my opinions, and as you'll see there was no childish name calling from me just expressing I can't see Daves reasons. But I now understand his views will never change. But surely I can say I don't like/or agree with his views and posts just as Dartgull commented on mine.
Hopefully he will get manager of the month, and Benyon or Green getting a goal of the month nomination would be icing on the cake. I think the home crowd will be back if we get a good result at Wrexham, maybe a draw and a great performance would also do the job...but I'm staying hopeful for the time being.

Louise_M I think that you have and I have not made any comments on your views, they are yours and you are free to express them. I only pulled up Dave over the use Of one word aimed at you, that I felt was out Of order.
While some may not like the fact, that I allow members to post their own views, good or bad, I will never allow anyone to abuse any other member, not matter who they are or even what my views are Of that member.

Nothing Dave Shaw says about me could ever get to me, I'm sure he's a very vocal man over his keyboard. The forum is run is a very good way and I agree that everyone should be allowed to post their views, I didn't want this thread to go off topic after reading DR's post, but obviously that ones backfired :s

Well, well. All nice and feisty.
Dave Shaw - I don't agree with you on the 'Buckle is bad thing' theme, - he's what we have got, he cares and he's trying his damndest - I can't see anyone else in the wings who could do any better. But, I certainly do not agree with the aggressive and personal invective against your views. This is not what I had thought this forum was about. I apologise for those posts which are inappropriate. Keep your love for the team old blade! Like your 'sheeple' quip but it took me a mo' to get it!
Back to manager bit - I'm starting to think (not with any substance mind, I just have a feeling) that Paul Buckle could do with a bit more confidence in the style he wants. A bit more 'courage of his conviction'. Maybe he's listening to others too much - I don't know?
He's a young manager and he will learn. For me, I'm happy for him to continue to learn at TUFC - I'm still happier with the club than the season before last.
Pax vobiscum my friends, Scott.
