it's just the one short post about the tsunami which needs consideration, the rest is perfectly valid.
although i'd stretch the idea of police incompetence to cover the whole lot of them, not just the "country bumpkins".

Let us not get off track for the real point of this!
Is the A35 (if it is closed) the only way from Weymouth to Exeter?
Is the whole of the area between Weymouth and Torquay under a "drive only if you have to" warning?
Will, in future, all games be postponed due to a little inclement weather "inconveniencing" the away fans.
Who at the BSP has actually made the decision and where is the proof.
As for the comment that Colin Lee is somehow to blame - words fail me!

I see Sean North and Hinshelwood were both involved in accidents on the way home from Toddy's bash. North's wife being air-ambulanced to Salisbury.

Merse Dave Shaw was only talking about snow and in the case Of London it would seem we can't cope with it when it comes, but no one has lost their lives because of the snow yet(I have not heard of any) but you used something that caused the death of many thousands of people and I still feel it was the wrong choice of tragic event to use to try and make your point.
One thing I do not like is what I call sick jokes, while your remarks do not fall into the category, they still are in my view in bad taste.

Pisses me off when people try to blame C.L. for things out of his control.

tqriviera the answer about the A35 is no, they could drive to Dorchester and then Yeovil and down the 303, or head for the Taunton junction on the M5.
We do not get this sort of weather very often, so no games will not get called off for a little inclement weather, but this has been a bit worse than that and I'm sorry, but I will stick with the view that I would in this case, put the safety of fans before I worried if a football game took place.

The ref got there for the pitch inspection didn't he? (I assume). Why couldn't the Weymouth team? Or should we read something else into it?
It'll be a sad day if they go under and will have some repercussions to the points table.
Will wait and see what the club and the Captain's blog says about it.
Still backing Merse's points up but feeling a tad strange about it.

The damage Roberts has done is being undone by one person, he came in, he did some business, unlike Bateson! He has the club at more than heart it`s his dream like yours and mine to get Torquay United well above where we are!

There's lots of sense in Dave's posting. I was working in Taunton today and people from the Yeovil area were getting "come home straight away" phone calls from early afternoon. It's worth remembering all roads to and from Weymouth cross high ground and there's nothing quite of the standard of the A380 to get you over the downs. Apparently the game has now been re-arranged for next Tuesday. But will Weymouth still be around? Chief executive Gary Calder looks like going to Cambridge so maybe there'll be nobody left to pay the coach company even on a good day. Exactly Barton, I wasn't advocating their travelling this afternoon, it's obvious from the timing of the call off that Weymouth hadn't even left...................they were still up there just six hours before kick off - how amateur. There could well be the underlying problem that Weymouth can't afford to run their affairs professionally - if Messrs Hill and Power decline to proceed after their period of due diligence it looks like they're stuffed...................so I wouldn't make any concrete plans for next Tuesday either. If, like Crawley; they go and spend money bringing players in as they have with Lee Phillips and they can't operate in a business like and professional manner nor settle their accounts in a a satisfactory manner they want slinging out of football at this level as Boston were...................they're just dragging everyone else down with their own incompetence and the BSP should have a management team of sufficient calibre to deal with this nonsense!

A tough one. I can agree with both Dave R's and Merse's comments about the postponement of tonights game. Safety first but also a bit of professionalism sounds very reasonable.
As I live in The Netherlands I don't know exactly how the situation in the rest of the UK is?
Maybe a bit shortsighted but if Histon can travel to Forest Green (+/- 170 miles) then Weymouth should have been able to travel those 77 miles to Plainmoor without a doubt?
What about Brentford to Morecambe, Norwich to Wolves or Plymouth to Preston?

Quote from Merse
Its the fault of who owns the club now for all the problems it has, I wonder if you would have been happy if the football league had a management team who could have dealt with Roberts, because he sure did not operate in a business like and professional manner nor settle his accounts in a satisfactory manner you remember him merse I'm sure as you were once his main supporter
