Just a quick reminder that under FA Regulations, Section VI: Contractual Stability (clause C74): Upon receipt of a Re-engagement Offer, a Contract Player must accept or reject it by notifying the Club in writing within 28 days. A Contract Player who rejects a Re-engagement Offer, or fails to respond to a Re- engagement Offer within 28 days of receipt, is immediately free to enter into contract negotiations with another Club.So while it would be nice to get an early acceptance, all three players are entitled to sit and wait until the 28th June to see if their agent can get them a better gig elsewhere. Which is frustrating for us. That is presuming that the National League follows FA Regulations; and there is nothing thatI can see in its own Regulations to say that it doesn't. This will depend on whether new contract offers were made on the 1st June (when the transfer embargo was lifted) or the 3rd June (when the retained list was announced), but I am presuming that Ollie Tomlinson has until Monday to accept or reject his offer of a new contract. He may have doe one of the two already and we're just waiting for it to be announced. Given that we have seven defenders signed already, including our player-coach, I am jumping to the conclusion that the club are expecting Tomlinson to move elsewhere. But what do I know?!

Now able to fill the bench as we reach 16. GK: Hamon Def: LB - Foulston, Carson, RB-Craske, CD - Dreyer, Moxey, Palmer, Dyer, Midfield: Hasani, Collins, Threlkeld, Booth, Hayfield Forward: Crosbie, Ash, Seymour Obviously one or two who can play more than one position. Strong spine, wide players are few and far between but maybe will play with wing backs? Interview with Jordan a few years ago at Bath City - describes himself as a central defender - link

Think we will find out about Tomlinson very shortly. Haven’t heard anything elsewhere. His previous Plymouth manager saw good national league / league 2 standard once he matured - link won the Twitchin trophy for us last season for most appearances but still needs to mature and improve. Played for Wotton at Truro and impressed in the league below and he obviously saw something in him.

Well, exactly: Wotton wants him back hence the contract offer. The question is whether Tomlinson's agent has got him a better deal somewhere else. We should find out very soon.

link - I see that Exeter have released five from their youth Academy. Not sure if any are worth a punt but see that Alfie Cunningham has some under 17 Wales Caps and being a right midfield/winger, it is a position that we are short on if we need a back up?

Nice to see Ollie back another young talented player who will improve given the support and with a former defender manager in charge. No idea who the grey haired one with glasses is on the clubs site! torquayunited.com/tomlinson-returns-to-united/

link - after a few weeks with no new signings suddenly we have another striker, Cody Cook from Bath City. Suspect we won’t be their favorite team next year! Still not sure how we are going to accommodate all these strikers on a match day….. Starting to build some good depth now with competition for places and ability to rotate the starting XI. All our strikers scored a hatful of goals last season so it bodes well.

Plenty of disappointed Bath city fans, always a good gauage of player value.Quote from their FB page. "Huge loss. 15-20+ goals and huge commitment from the 1st minute until the 90th. Wish him well. Finding a replacement for him, certainly won’t be easy"

link - first loan signing being Finn Tonks on an initial six month term coming from Bournemouth to help cover the right wing back position.
