Just been looking back at this thread and how ridiculously optimistic we all were just a few short weeks ago.😩

Scott Smith on his way from Wigan? Another midfielder it would seem. Maybe Garry has seen the light and given up on his inept front men, and decided to play a 4-6 formation…because let’s be honest it can’t be any worse than what we’re doing now! 💡

Both those forwards seem very much fit for purpose. Andrews given last season’s tally and Goodwin given recent performances. Fitness and creativity in midfield are both lacking. Let’s hope this loan signing, if happening, can bring some of what we lack despite the player himself having no first team experience bar 2 League Cup appearances last season.

I bow to your superior knowledge on this subject, and I’m aware that some of my thoughts/comments could be described as somewhat outlandish, but at the end of the day it’s about getting points…so we have to try something…anything!

Humbly suggest we try scoring. I bet the Wrexham forward line, are licking their lips for Saturdays game.

Interesting situation regarding the addition of three new loan signings in the past week, partly because of the lack of information coming out of Plainmoor.
By my reckoning, both Dillon De Silva and Chinwike Okoli will play their final games for us tonight if selected.
Both were signed on 8 October (well, that was when the signings were announced) on 28 day youth loans so their final day would be this Saturday 5th November. I wouldn't be surprised if Okoli was already back at Millwall given that he already seems to have been replaced in the team. I also presume Wearne is here to replace De Silva.
So we would then have six loan signings: Kieron Evans here for the season Will Goodwin and Scott Smith both here until January although I can't establish if that is January 1st or January 31st. Lucas Ness, Mark Ellis and Stephen Wearne here on a month's loan, which I presume to be 28 days.

Nothing to stop those loans being extended of course but not much point having more than five plus maybe Evans. No sign of Okoli tonight so suspect he has left the building. Added factor is which clubs will allow their players to be cup tied. Really could do with Plymouth beating Grimsby on Saturday thereby releasing Wearne. De Silva, Okoli, Goodwin and Smith already played for us in previous round leaving just Ellis and Ness.

Nothing to stop those loans being extended of course but not much point having more than five plus maybe Evans. I'd need to double check but I believe that 28 day youth loans cannot be extended, which is De Silva and Okoli. Or perhaps it's that they can only be extended so many times. There is certainly a time limit on youth loans, I'll see if I can get the facts from the FA Regulations. Edit: From the FA Regulations: "The minimum period of a Youth Loan shall be 28 days, thereafter a break clause may be included. Youth Loans cannot extend beyond the date immediately preceding the date of the Player’s 21st birthday and/or the Player’s contract period with their parent club."So we can extend a Youth Loan, and even send De Silva back and borrow him again until he hits 21 on 18th April 23. We can also keep Lucas Ness until 7th Feb 23 which is when he is 21. Coincidentally, Scott Smith was also born on 7th Feb, he's a year older than Ness so is not on a Youth Loan.

Is Andrews injured or has he left the club?
