link - good highlight reel for Corie. If you look closely you will see Kyle Cameron in his pocket for a couple of the goals. He looks like the sort of player for whom time slows down once he gets in front of goal. I confidently predict 25 goals for us this season. I've been wrong more times than I've been right with my predictions over the years...

Not concerned about the young age of the players. Robin Stubbs was 21 when he signed and that turned out OK! 😉⚽️

So many new names, signed, trialists and youth players its difficult to get my head around all of the name changes though Evans and Andrews are the easy ones to remember for obvious reasons. Really hope the new faces can all gel quickly and fully understand what the management team require of them. A couple last year quite obviously didn't quite get that message and we paid dearly at the start of the season before GJ corrected a few things and thankfully a relatively successful season followed.
More than a couple of of the new contract signings stand out for me. Hanson, McGavin, Corie Andrews and Dylan Crowe all have the potential to become Plainmoor folk hero's and perhaps even earn the club some money. Evans will also be a big player for us. The right age and with just the right amount of experience to make a difference at this level.
Aaron Jarvis I'm sure will prove to be a fine asset though little fanfare amongst supporters for a player who hasn't got a great scoring record. I understand he was second choice to inherit the Danny Wright role with Poole Towns Tony Lee as the main target and one that didn't transpire when the two clubs couldn't agree a transfer fee. A shame he has the physique and has a remarkable scoring record for Poole Town. Compiling your player "desired list" is surely what every manager has to do each close season with a list of at least three players for each position with the scouting and research done over the season before. I wonder how many of our new boys were number one on the desired list? I reckon most though the pre season transfer rumour mill mentioned a few names that have ended up at other clubs, notably Woking's Max Kretzschmar and Aldershots Lewis Kinsella who have both surprisingly ended up at Wealdstone. Lee perhaps another "Number one " target remains at Poole Town.
GJ has his work cut out for immediate success but its nice to see so many young players coming in and would like to prove a point with a couple of our own, Koszela in particular also needing to prove they deserve chance at this level or higher.
Honing the new crop into sharp consistent and efficient unit may take a little time but knowing GJ these players will have genuine ability and will entertain which, at the end of the day is the priority for most us on the terraces.

News is two strikers signed Aaron Jarvis from Scunthorpe and Jordan Ponticelli from Wrexham; time will tell if correct. link - Ponticelli rocks up at Kings Lynn.

Are we done or do we still need a striker How many senior goals have our forwards scored in the past two years? Our main forwards have had pretty poor goal returns in recent times. GJ was fortunate that last season the majority of our goals came from midfield, CLE and Little contributing the most. Lolos and and Holman were abject failures while Wright struggled for fitness. Like to think that that weakness in our squad will be resolved with the new influx and have high hopes of Andrews, Evans and Jarvis plus a decent return from the other new players who all look to have a goal or two in them.

Halstead will be under some pressure to remain first choice I would think, but hopefully that will bring the best out of him?
