Potentially a very good signing for us and very much in the Ben Whitfield mould. Says something when a manager of GJ' experience and track record can attract talented young players. Priceless for our club to have a manager of GJ'calibre.prety sure many clubs at our level would have him at the drop of a hat. Reputation counts and even our recent game at Ashton Gate showed younger players what a GJ side looks like and the level and style they are at. Pretty sure we wouldn’t be getting some of those players without our manager who can now point to several players that have developed at our club and immediately gone on to perform at league 1 & 2 level after leaving us. Was half hoping that we may have heard of some more signings yesterday but think we’ll probably have to wait until early next week now. I haven’t seen any news of early rumour Lewis Kinsella signing anywhere yet but he just recently got married so had a very busy June. Twitter feeds shows him keeping up with his running training though.

That’s all well and good, but our main objective is to get back in the league. We may be known as a safe pair of hands, and good at bringing players on, but those players must also have the ability to take us up. Being a nursery for misfiring players is typical good ole TUFC, but it can’t go on indefinitely.
We all know Sharkey to be a man of integrity and honesty with a big heart, but I doubt even his pockets go down much further.

link - Bit more on McGavin and again found that initial transition to men’s football quite difficult but hopefully can kick on from his experience at Kings Lynn last year. Nothing like scoring a wonder goal to get interest and a contract from a club

Ross Marshall signs - linkExplains the mystery of the third Ipswich player even though came via Stevenage. Another 22 year old. Apart from Jarvis all signings would be subject to compensation if on a 1 year deal and left at the end of that. Not sure if that is a deliberate policy?

Barnet swap deal I wonder who will come off best! Yes on loan from Stevenage but unsurprisingly another name that I've never heard of. Not that many games at senior level but again a good age and versatile by the sounds of it playing as a right sided defender or defensive mid. So Important to have that type who are competent in a few areas as it means we can save on squad numbers and hopefully improve the quality throughout the squad. Not quite sure where he wold come in unless GJ intends to play him centrally as he is a good height at 6'3". More to come soon I hope still a number of gaps to fill.

Good to see a young big defender coming in. Would like to see a big man up front.

I like this guy Marshall, he reminds me of old Bill (no, not the Old Bill…not the Old Bill) from the good ole days. One can only hope he’s something like him, but all in all, I think the business of recruiting has gone remarkably well so far. Still need to sort the keeper position, and someone who has the remotest idea where the back of the net is would be a bonus.

Good to see a young big defender coming in. Would like to see a big man up front. I think we already have a big man up front in Jarvis. I would like to see a mobile goal-scorer to play off him. Maybe that player is Olaf, maybe it is not. Time will tell...

Squad continues growing and stillvery youthful with only 6 out of the 20 above 22. Just Lapslie still in the peak 25 to 30 age bracket but now 2 strikers very close to that. Wonder if Johnson will continue to play with the wing back system.
GK - Halstead- 31 Defenders - Central: Omar - 22, Moxey - 36 LB: Martin.22 RB: Crowe 21 Ollie Tomlinson - 20, Ross Marshall - 22 Midfielders - Central : Lapslie-26 Moyse -19 Hall - 35 Hanson - 21 McGavin -22Wingers: O’Connell -22 Evans -20, Winsor -18 Rogers -21 Strikers- Koszela - 20 Jarvis -24 Brooks -18 Corie Andrews - 24

link - good highlight reel for Corie. If you look closely you will see Kyle Cameron in his pocket for a couple of the goals.
