He’s taken it well and graciously, as ever. Frivolous and vexatious claims being his hallmark as he tries desperately to avoid his own legal downfall electorally and via tax dodging at the cost of his divided nation and its citizens.
Zero class. Zero humility. Zero empathy. All self.
AJ’s post was a good read in terms of a mindset into how populism may appeal in the short term and how it has in the US. Sadly, right wing populism has been historically dominated by lying figureheads who, to say the least, care little about those they claim to represent, are motivated by self interest alone, blame a demonised ‘outsider’ for their nation’s woes, substantially ‘overstep the mark’ and leave chaos in their wake.
“Twas ever thus. And will be repeated.

Nice to see that Donald is trying to push through a trade deal before he leaves office, as he knows we won’t be getting any after he leaves.
The bookies are offering good odds on Creepy Joe beating William Henry Harrison for the least time spent in office...might be worth a punt! 😉

Nice to see that Donald is trying to push through a trade deal before he leaves office Coz anything substantial is bound to be concluded by January 20th. More nonsense from the Orange tw@. At least they are labelling it a mini deal, so it doesn’t excite too many idiots.

All gone quiet again, where to start to express a final dismissal of this callous and self centred individual?
1. He has caused the life of the CEO of the company which manufactures vote counting machines to be threatened on many occasions;
2. He is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people from the virus by mocking the guidelines and persuading his idiot supporters to believe that he was right;
3. He is now taking advantage of his power by pardoning criminals, political crooks and murderers, as a means of thanking people who have been loyal to him;
4. He has refused to approve payment of funds to people desperately in need over Christmas. He has actually gone home to play golf!
These are just the basic facts of what he has done, apart from his continued ludicrous claim that he has had the election stolen from him. Would anyone now care to claim what a wonderful president he has been? It's not about partinsanship or political preference any longer, it's about decency and humanity, of which he has none.
My abiding wish is for him to remain in the White House until he is physically thrown out by US marshals and his furniture tossed out into the street.

Like the rest of us, Stewart won't have his Christmas hat until he's pulled his cracker tomorrow. But I'm sure Reg and everyone who's contributed to this 'President Trump' thread will wish our US Presidential Election correspondent a Happy Christmas. Are we getting nearer to that dreaded day when a 'President Sleepy Joe' thread will need to come into existence ? ....not yet ...so even at Christmas, let's continue to proclaim that electoral justice must be done, and the true winner retain his position

Yes, I've just put it on and I'm on my way. John McEnroe can have the last word, as his legendary phrase fits perfectly against the nonsense expressed in the post after yours.

Good to see some had time to reflect over the Christmas period and think of others less fortunate than themselves.

AJ may have given up on him, but Trump is still at it.
Worth a listen to the conversation. Shows Trump for the big baby bully boy he is. They recounted and it matched already, btw.
Congress, including the Republican Senate, now overriding his budget veto having pretty much had enough of the orange idiot.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Rob
Rob seems to have trouble in grasping why so many in America have severe doubts that their election and its ‘result’ was arrived at by free and fair means. This is all the more surprising as I spelt out what was most likely to happen in the weeks before the vote.
By means of illustration, it’s best to provide examples of the motivating factors at work.Take the huge Russian collusion conspiracy that was set in motion once Trump had won in 2016. It wasn’t an overriding concern that there might have been some Russian involvement here or there (and after all, the Americans know that when it comes in interfering in overseas elections their own Government is unsurpassed by a massive margin), the motivation was to cobble together enough truth, falsehoods, half truths, or blatantly fabricated false dossiers to hopefully remove Trump. Get Trump out of the White House, by means of fact or fiction ….bringing the Trump Presidency to a quick end, that was the overriding aim, establishing the truth about Russian interference was neither here nor there …. as long as the desired outcome might be achieved.
Later they attempt to achieve the same goal via the impeachment proceedings and spend million upon million to allow the Mueller inquiry to look into everything and try to make some sort of case. Again, no one was interested in Ukraine, or who said what to whom …. It was just the best thing that they could cling to in order to throw more mud at Trump, and make another attempt to depose him. Getting to the truth about the Ukraine matter was a matter of insignificance and boredom … it was the possible consequences, the removal of Trump, that was the real goal.
‘OK people of Georgia, so given what you’ve seen, heard, and read about, you have grave concerns about ballot destruction, out of state voters, dead voters, ballots under the table etc etc …. And you’d like a proper investigation of those issues and have them rectified if necessary ?’
But as in the above examples, the overriding motivation is not to check into and reassure, as to the validity of the vote in Georgia, by examining those concerns, the aim of the game is and was to make certain that Trump doesn’t win. ‘So I tell you what we’ll do, we won’t look into any of those concerns that so many of you raise, we won’t remove the illegal ballots cast by out of staters or dead people, we won’t inquire into whether fake ballots were added, we won’t examine whether huge numbers of Trump ballots were destroyed. How about we just keep things exactly as they are, correct nothing, recount what we’ve already counted and come up with the exact same result as before ? Will that satisfy you ? No ? Why ever not ? Rob’s dancing around the room and shouting that the recount matches already …… surely that’s proof that everything is fair and just ?’
It’s not that people think that geriatric Creepy Joe and Kampala will be competent leaders for America, it’s that the Deep State, the swamp, the media, the establishment, have put 95% of their effort into their overwhelming concern, making sure that Trump loses !
Let’s give a similar example of something more local, when the winner hardly had to lift a finger to receive his prize. Sounds like Joe Biden doesn’t it, hardly campaigned, no one at his rallies etc, but in this case it’s the Chairman of Kings Lynn….. and again, it’s because who won didn’t really matter two hoots, the prime interest of the organisers was making sure that one particular person didn’t win …. that was their primary intention.
And to those telling me over recent days that they’ve driven big distances spending their own money to follow the team around the country. You’re missing the point. It doesn’t matter that George Edwards has more disposable income than you, it doesn’t matter that he probably travelled in a more luxurious car than you, it doesn’t matter that it might be a company car and he might not have had to pay for the petrol, it might not matter that the journey could have been classified as work related and that therefore he might have been being paid for attending, it doesn’t matter that he might have had a complimentary ticket and had free entry, or that he didn’t have to join a queue 50 long for the bogs at half time whereas you did.
Establishing the heroism or otherwise of George Edwards travelling to Kings Lynn wasn’t the aim, pondering whether the Kings Lynn chairman uttering half a dozen words mentioning George’s trip, deserved to make him top Chairman of 2020 wasn’t the aim ….. they would have given it to the TUST postman for saying ‘good morning’ if necessary ... ...the winner was of secondary importance ….. the point you had to take notice of was who it was NOT being awarded to ….. that it should stick out like a sore thumb that it’s the one award that was not being given to the TUFC contender.
And it’s exactly the same …. the people in charge of the Georgia election result aren’t interested in destroyed ballots, or illegal voting, or fake ballots appearing from under a table. They’re just overwhelmingly interested in who they prevent from winning. Those dreaming up their non existent TUST prizes don’t give a flip about the Kings Lynn chairman, they were gunning, as always, for the TUFC Chairman, and to make a spectacle of him, where a single award has to go outside of the club … to that oh so worthy winner from Kings Lynn.
As always, be alive to the tricks of the Militants. Should their blatant propaganda, targeting our Chairman appear in the football section, then obviously use the football section to call it out, and reveal what they're up to. If it appears in a post in this section trying to excuse stealing the election from President Trump, then explain their sleight of hand for all to see there. What's sauce for the goose etc.
Stand strong and resist.
AJ.

Asking him to find some more votes and specifying the number he wants.
I like your defence of the indefensible. Many wouldn’t.
Strange ramble about the lighthearted mock awards thing. Only you could come up with such a bizarre angle, AJ. I believe Jon made an apt reference to your lack of New Years resolution on this very subject.
Happy New Year.

It's not in the slightest bizarre. It's exactly in line with maintaining Osborne as Public Enemy No.1, which at the height of the viciousness against him, in some peoples eyes, came close to resembling a hate campaign waged by a group of Militants .... one of which, an occasional contributor to this Forum, did as you'll remember, advocate mob attendance at the Osborne household. To ascribe the desire to vaunt the Chairman of Kings Lynn rather than our own Chairman to sheer coincidence, is beyond credibility when a TUFC person got every other pretend TUST award. Osborne Derangement Syndrome never went away, and this transparent dig was a signal to Militants everywhere that it's still alive and well. Truly a mystery why he'd turn down an interview with such lovely fair minded people. But away from the prospect of President Biden, and the dark arts as practised by The Militants .... there is some good news out there today for those that care to look for it .... Assange freed, and SNP Covid crackpot Ferrier arrested and charged with culpable and reckless conduct. Perhaps they'll sling her in the cell that Assange is vacating. Here's hoping our US Presidential Election correspondent provides us with comprehensive coverage of the big January 6th rally. Happy new Year to him if he's looking in

Here's hoping our US Presidential Election correspondent provides us with comprehensive coverage of the big January 6th rally. Happy new Year to him if he's looking in I left this particular room a couple of weeks ago, however if that description is intended to refer to me, then I am truly honoured. Despite the latest and most ridiculous excesses of the ex-president, I have nothing more to say on the matter, except to wish Happy New Year, not only to yourself, but also to all those American citizens who have made such a sensible decision. Good luck with your ongoing fight against the militants, whoever they may be.
