It gets worse and worse over there. Trump has said, and believes, that: The virus was never any worse than normal flu and is now under control, so people should go about their daily business without worrying about masks or social distancing. The police force are not systemically racist and he has seen no signs of any brutality. People demonstrating on behalf of BLM are looters, arsonists and thugs. Soldiers who lose their lives or are captured during conflicts are losers and suckers. The fires currently raging along the West coast are not down to climate change, but because of forest mismanagement. It really does make you wonder about the mentality of Americans who are intent on voting him back into office, no matter how many lies he tells. So let’s break that down a bit: Trump thinks the virus is like flu and wants people to get on with their lives-Boris has put a six person thingy in place which 90% of the country thinks is a load of bollocks. I’d even go as far as to say most people think the virus is no worse than flu! The police are racist and brutal-what you don’t see is the other side of the coin, the police getting all the shite on a daily basis. My good lady’s late husband was in the Met...I’ll give you some of his stories when I’m not putting bitumen on the kitchen roof. Most of the clips you see of the BLIMP protesters, are of them looting, burning or kicking the shite out of someone. Maybe trump is a follower of Japanese traditions when he talks about soldiers. Wasn’t the fire on the west coast started by someone doing one of these “gender reveal” things? Don’t worry though Stewart, Rob will be along shortly to agree with everything you say. 🤙🤙 I'm not bothered about people coming along to agree with everything I say, but boy, you have certainly been hooked on this vain arrogant ignorant selfish uncaring deceitful devious deluded racist fraud. He is no more fit to be president than the Lone Ranger's horse.

He is no more fit to be president than the Lone Ranger's horse. Quite right Silver behaved disgracefully towards Tonto who was quite clearly from a minority group and you never saw him getting any pay from his high and mighty employer with the dodgy looking mask......that said I do think that Silver displayed more presidential qualities than Mr Trump on occasions

I think you need to take a leaf out of Stefano's book and stand back a bit...throw in the odd joke, rather than screaming at the computer screen. What you have to remember is that debate is rather like haggling...it's all about give and take.

The November vote could be a pivotal moment for us all, determining the future of Western Society, or indicate whether it's now too late for it to have any worthwhile future at all. Well done to Stewart for seizing the initiative and keeping this important occasion to the forefront. I'm enjoying his coverage and views. I think the lack of re-runs underlines that the Lone Ranger was a bit of a fool, he never did work out how to wear his Covid mask correctly. Silver wasn't as smart as some make out, although he had more of an excuse. I would also criticise Tonto, but it would probably breach Proboards diversity guidelines. The polls indicate that Creepy Joe and his dusky running mate Kampala Harris, haven't got it in the bag just yet. The US economy seems to be rebounding at a speed that is causing worry for the Democrats. It's not just the British Left who think they could make political hay from a second wave. Keep up the good work, Stewart.

Just now I was watching Trump give one of his rambling diatribes, having been asked about law and order on Election Day. I was soon struck by the similarity with Captain Queeg in The Caine Mutiny, except that stolen ballots had now taken the place of stolen strawberries.

I see that this Joe Biden fella says that we must honour The Good Friday Agreement (or to give it its proper name-The Yet Another Stitch-Up by Tony Blair Agreement) in our Brexit negotiations...what the f**k has it got to do with him!
He’s like the President before Trump...what was his name...Obama Bin Laden or something, trying to tell us what to do. We don’t need anybody’s help destroying our country thank you very much...we have people here already doing a good enough job destroying it!

Hopefully we can get back to some serious stuff after confusion between a decent man and a mass murderer in the previous post. Was that "throwing in the odd joke"?
Trump is now saying that he has done such a formidable job with the virus that there have been ONLY 200,000 deaths.
He is also desperate to fill the vacancy in the Supreme Court left by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg before that highly respected lady has even been laid to rest. Then, he would have a 6-3 Republican majority in the Supreme Court which would help him to overturn the election result on appeal, on the basis that the vote was "rigged", should he lose. Former presidential advisors, some of them Republicans, and FBI directors are coming forward in numbers to say that they are staggered by how devious he can be.
You never know, there may be more outrageous comments and actions still to come. The first head on debate between Trump and Biden will take place at midnight our time next Tuesday/Wednesday, and I would urge everyone to stay up and watch it on CNN News. Those who still think that Trump is a jolly fine fellow may be inclined to change their minds.

I have studied that first sentence of yours in great detail Stewart, but sadly it doesn’t quite meet the criteria of being a joke...ie, it has to be funny. So a note to yourself...”must try harder.” I have decided not to stay up late next week and watch the first head-to-head for a number of reasons. a) I need my beauty sleep. b) There’s just one tiny thing wrong with those debates...they’re bollocks. c) I’m sure you will look at the program with an unbiased and untrammelled view, and report on your findings the following morning. d) There was a d), but I’m so excited about ordering my TUAFC face mask from the club shop that I’m lost for words. 😷

I was just wondering if it was you who were "throwing in the odd joke" with your vile misnaming of Barack Obama. I do agree with you on one point, that you know absolutely nothing about what is happening in the USA, but you are perfectly entitled to that choice. Even tonight, Trump is coming out with more outrageous nonsense, such as his intention to overrule the medical experts on the timing and efficacy of a vaccine. However, I shall not be reporting any more findings, as nobody seems to be interested. I may have something more to say sometime in November when hopefully this dishonest and dishonourable "president" will have to concede that his day is done.

Stewart you should not assume that nobody is interested just because there are no responses. I find many of Jon's history posts and Timbo's programme posts interesting and fascinating but I rarely respond. Keep posting your views forums need posters as the majority on every forum or group are readers rather than posters......

I too, always look forward to, and enjoy reading Stewart's take on the forthcoming US Presidential Election, and it would be a pity if he halted this just as we're reaching the most exciting time, particularly with the debates getting under way very soon. The appreciation is there, even is we have been a bit backward in expressing it.

Right, that's enough of that nonsense, let's get down to the real reason we're all here...The Donald! Mr Trump has taken a lot of unfair criticism this week, but to get it from Meghan and Harry, is too much. Puppy Dog Harry (then again, who wouldn't want to be a Puppy Dog if you could get between those legs of Meghan) is at it again, sitting on a bench in the garden, and putting the world to rights...in his mind that is...but very few others minds! Mr Trump handled the situation with aplomb, and even managed to "throw in" a little joke.

And likewise, I am very keen on the history and programme posts, too. I saw the stuff with him trying to say that the CDC person got something wrong or must have been mistaken regarding timings of a vaccine being available to all and that he would get a vaccine out to all pretty much as soon as he is re-elected. The man is a liar and a charlatan. Many fall for it both sides of the Atlantic, unfortunately.

A couple of interesting points have come to light.
The New York Times has discovered some hitherto concealed documents which show that Trump has avoided paying any income tax for 10 of the past 15 years. He has also used his office to write off 70,000 dollars spent on hair styling. Of course, he calls this "fake news"!
Even some fellow Republicans are now saying that Trump has zero empathy, integrity, intellect or maturity, and everything he does is with the thought of what's in it for him.

And the only rigged outcome will be the one where he loses in his eyes. Lock him up and make him build the wall around him.
