How on earth can the Prime Minister, one man, have the authority to shut down Parliament for five weeks for his own purposes, when there are so many important issues to be debated other than Brexit? It cannot be any secret that I voted leave, as I started this thread over three years ago, however this man is a blustering, self-seeking, even flippantly ignorant buffoon, and because of him I am starting to change my mind. If this is how Johnson intends to deal with parliamentary business and the future of this country in such a frivolous manner, then I will probably support any party which can overthrow him, irrespective of Brexit. We have to get our priorities right. Our views while different on Brexit are similar on Johnson and the proroguing of Parliament, Stewart. He is not someone who can be trusted on anything as his first few weeks in office have further illustrated. Election campaigning at a time when supposedly negotiating was a ludicrous state of affairs and further put into focus how little actual work he has actually done or intended to do. As those leaving his cabinet and EU27 leaders have indicated. A stunt of no substance that idiots might fall for and nothing less. That’s what you’ll get from someone to whom it is all a game. Either that or lying across the front benches like a detached arrogant fool as per the Leader of the House.

I agree with Rob as regards negotiating with the EU, and would go further in suggesting that we may leave on October 31st, the best part of three and a half years after the vote so to do, with virtually no actual negotiating having ever taken place at all throughout that time. Think back to the days of David Davis as Brexit Secretary, I think I'm correct in saying that he went over to the EU for one afternoon every fortnight at most, possibly an afternoon every three weeks to chat things through. And, under the impression that he was 'negotiating' and actually getting somewhere, had a very rude awakening when he learned it was all for nothing and that No.10 were in full charge. Raab similarly thought for a month or two that he was engaged in 'negotiating', until informed it was all a sham, so he packed it in. Of course the truth of it was, the one supposedly representing us was (soon to be Sir) Olly Robbins. And as became clear when 'Brexit In Name Only' was presented to parliament 3 times, all 'negotiating' time that Sir Olly was involved in seems to have been taken up with everyone agreeing how best to present 'Remain' but somehow dressing it up to try to fool people it was 'Leave'. Sir Olly did such a good job that the Remainiac Establishment are queuing up to reward him. Remain campaign financiers Goldman Sachs quickly finding a position and a enviable salary for Sir Olly, and Remainer May indicating he did such a good job at halting anything approaching a meaningful Brexit for year after year that a Knighthood shall be his ! Boris, thankfully, is sufficiently shrewd to know when it is safe to negotiate and when it isn't. Just imagine if he had been negotiating in earnest over the last couple of weeks and laying out his plans. All that would have happened is that Hammond, Swinson, Starmer, Grieve and the Remainiacs would have been informed in detail by the EU of what Boris was proposing, all the better, and giving them time to cook something up with Bercow to nobble and weaken our Prime Minister's position. The only way to avoid such sabotage by the Remainiacs is to reveal your plans when the anti democrats are not in parliament, and instead out and about and off to their conferences. Given the balance of power has been in Remainiac hands, both throughout the May Administration, and the same now with an overwhelmingly Remainiac parliament, does Boris seriously believe the EU are capable of negotiating in good faith, let alone working through pros and cons with just over a month to our leaving date ? My money is on minimal negotiations, but more of a 'take it or leave it' offer being made to them. If they leave it then it's a huge amount of money that they are badly in need of that they'll be turning their back on. And as there'll be no more extensions they won't get extra months to think about it, a 'no' will have to mean 'no'. Cameron seemed to spend a lifetime before the Referendum negotiating with the EU and achieved precisely nothing. Boris knows it's pointless and can spend the time more fruitfully playing with his new dog. And he's in the happy position of knowing that the only alternative to him are a bunch of politicians who have joined together to produce a Surrender Document asking the EU to tell us what to do and for how long. Remainiac craven surrender that appals the public at large, and consequently why the Remainiac collaborators are pulling every stunt to avoid an election when the electorate would put an end to their shabby games. Short sharp negotiations when the time is right. The People's Prime Minister knows it's the only way to get us out.

Yellowhammer Government documents published. These weren’t meant for public consumption. Farridge says he’s an expert with vast experience in trade so none of it is true.

It seems that Macron is now giving the orders, by telling us that we have to come up with some sort of plan before the end of the month or it's no deal! Probably still somewhat pissed off that we sank the French navy in 1940! What a call that was from Churchill, when we had politicians that actually had balls! Imagine what would happen now...the bloody war would be over before they made up their minds! France has been in turmoil since Macron took charge, with the so called 'Yellow Vests' venting their anger at the way things are being done. Given the chance, Macron would be booted out, and the French would vote to leave the EU tomorrow! It's only the politicians keeping them there...now what does that remind me of?

Barclay today saying Clown’s Government need another year to sort out the backstop issue. Merkel 30 days to come up with something challenge was accepted by the lying PM who hasn’t. The Johnson shows himself up in a meeting seemingly making out he doesn’t understand the Single Market yesterday, leading to the ‘come up with something useful in 12 days’ stipulation by an unimpressed and exasperated EU27. We are a bloody laughing stock. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.ft.com/content/7453c686-d9b7-11e9-8f9b-77216ebe1f17What does the Express make of it all, Reg?

Can't say much at the moment, have to go and paint the decking at the caravan! But as Arnie says...I'll be back! Hey, I heard that...I heard that!

Can't say much at the moment, have to go and paint the decking at the caravan! It's a pity you don't paint the decking more often! You won't hear much from me either in the next few weeks as the Big One starts today. A glorious festival of Rugby Union in Japan. No ham acting just full blooded sport. Wonderful! Sayonara.....

What's happened to the scrums in Rugby Union? Watched a bit of Rugby yesterday, and was somewhat bemused by them! First of all someone strolls up like a fairy, then someone else strolls up to him and puts their arm around said fairy, then someone else strolls up, bends down and starts sniffing the first ones arse, then someone else strolls up...and on and on it seems to go! Before, both packs would race up, smash into each other, and the ball would be in play again! Bloody Snowflakes! Back onto the subject of the EU. I notice that there are now adds on the Tele, informing us what will happen at the end of next month, when we supposedly leave the EU! I don't remember any when we were first meant to leave and May was in charge! Then again, why would you bother with adds, when you had no intention of leaving in the first place!

I think you should arrange a face to face meeting with Luke Cowan-Dickie and tell him he is a snowflake. Best of luck with that one! ........

There is an intriguing question here. What will happen if a second referendum is held and the original result is repeated? Will there ever be an end to this flagrant attempt to overrule a democratic process?
