I'm quite surprised to find that, as far as I can see, there have been no opinions expressed about this matter. Members of the other, less intellectually based, site have been exchanging quite sensible and controlled views for several weeks.
I have to say that I find it extremely sickening that senior members of the current government are telling lie after blatant lie about the effect which leaving the EU will have on mortgages, family budgets, the value of the pound, the cost of food and utilities, even the NHS, and saying that another recession will be caused. These misrepresentations are clearly aimed at people who are not interested in politics or economics, who probably number more than 50% of the population and who will be persuaded to believe them for that reason.
The BBC have decided to exclude Nigel Farage, who was the instigator of the referendum from any planned debates. Is there going to be a fair outcome to this referendum ?

Given the current housing market situation where the top end of the market is collapsing and they government want these silly mortgages again then all the predictions suggest we're heading for a recession any way! All of this scare mongering is just over spin on what's going to happen whether we stay out or leave! I'm more concerned about the far right element in Austria winning this election that's coming, others will follow suit, I predict Europe is going to get a bit scary in the next coming years!

With the exception of me, for the (selfish personal) reasons I outlined in another post, I don't know anyone who is voting to remain in the EU. The latest nonsense from Cameron about the cost of holidays being more expensive are the actions of a drowning man clutching at straws, IMO. For a start the fact that the pound is not pegged to any currency means that there will be fluctuations in the price of everything, not just holidays, year on year. Sometimes not so much and other times more so. I am pretty sure there has never been a year where foreign holidays have become cheaper than the previous so putting that forward as an argument to stay in Europe just shows how desperate the 'Project Fear' camp is becoming. Birds of a feather, I guess. I don't know anyone who is voting 'Out' beyond a UKIP supporting mate whose batshit opinions about pretty much anything I tolerate on the grounds that I'm not sure he's all there really. Personally, I'm a half-hearted 'In' (I think...). There's a massive democracy deficit at the heart of the EU and, a few welcome sops to workers' rights apart, for much of the time it seems to function as a greasing wheel for globalised capitalism. I just don't see that things would be any better outside with the likes of Boris Johnson, IDS and co. trying to kick us further back into the Victorian era. If the Remain campaign is Project Fear (and I think that's true to a point), the Exit one is Project Fantasyland. Caught a bit of their election broadcast the other night, quoting the £3.5m a week we pay to the EU as if we get nothing in return. Total bollocks. Whether our share of EU funding is value for money or not is the actual question. The Brexit lot ducked that and went for a simplistic exchange of the UK contribution against building a new hospital, like most of the Brexit lot would use our alleged savings to do that anyway. It's a propaganda war, basically, so I treat both sides' claims with a lot of caution. All I know is that I probably won't be happy whichever way it goes next month. Me, I think it's time we built some bridges with North Korea; I've long thought everyone should have the same haircut and we could all do with losing weight. Besides, who doesn't like a military parade once in a while. Who's with me?

What I do find funny about the other site you mentioned (well one of the things), is that one person will put up an argument using an article from a certain newspaper, and someone else will say don't look at that paper you must see what this other paper says! As if one paper is better than any other when they are all spouting bollocks! In answer to your last sentence, is there going to be a fair out come to this referendum? I think the answer to that is I doubt it! Already, we see talk of what will happen if the leave campaign wins. Members of the government saying it doesn't matter because they'll just ignore it and carry on as usual!

Of course, the big eye opener in all this kerfuffle over the EU is all the lies it involves. We all knew that politicians lied, but this is on a galactic scale. Call me Dave and Osborne are doing it on a daily basis! The problem with lying is, you more often than not get caught out, and this is what is happening now. Call me Dave and Osborne are back tracking all over the place. Of course call me Dave and Osborne aren’t even in the same league when it comes to lying as the abhorrent Blair and his Labour cronies! Add to that, Blair’s and Labours total contempt of the British public, by installing the odious Gordon Brown without going through the election process. People on another site waste their lives discussing politics as if it makes a difference if the lying Cameron or the lying Blair is in power, neither of them gives a shit about anybody but themselves! Billy Connolly, sums it up perfectly…Politics – who cares!

I think this is going to be close and a lot of people that I talk to either haven't made up their minds yet or keep changing it. A lot of ridiculous outlandish claims out there from both sides which doesn't help the cause of democracy. Risks either way as the French, Italian, Spanish and Greek economies have severe structural problems which will impact on us. There does seem to be a late surge towards the leave campaign a bit like in the Scottish vote but too early to say which way it will go...... Edit: This is a useful polling site for the latest info - link

I watched the Trooping of The Colour yesterday, and having done a few parades on Horse Guards myself, I don't want a tradition like that to die! With the rise of Herr Hitler Merkle and her wanting the British army to be part of a European army, things like the TOTC could be resigned to history! Let's get out of this Basket Bloody Case of a European Union!
To be honest, anybody that votes to remain, needs to speak to my psychiatrist!

Damn it, I knew I should have mentioned that earlier, I could have saved you the embarrassment of being on the losing side Stefano! Then again, being a supporter of TUFC, you're used to being on the losing side!

Then again, being a supporter of TUFC, you're used to being on the losing side! I think it may go to penalties I suppose you will chose Bruce Grobbelaar as your keeper? He was as bent as a nine-bob note, so will fit in nicely with call me Dave and Osborne!

I see that poor old call me Dave is knackered (well, it does take it out of you when you lie every day) and is bringing in the odious Gordon Brown to continue his campaign! Well, if you want someone to continue a campaign of lies who better...OK Tony Blair would have been better! I notice that Jeremy Corbett and Labour are still denying that immigration is putting pressure on the NHS and schools! I may have a go at call me Dave but at least he gave us a chance of a EU referendum (pressurised by Farage of course) when Labour don't have a clue (or give a shit) about the concerns of the British public! And what on earth is Corbett doing wearing a bloody fur coat...he looks like a Soho tart! He'll be advertising his services in phone boxes shortly!
