Stewart With the computers available these days, Stewart, there's no need for them to even leave their seats. I'm sure they could just tap into a laptop their agreement or opposition to each motion. Perhaps a parliamentary version of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) could be a quick counting piece of technology that could tot up the hands that went up for 'yes' or for 'no' and distinguish if a hand or hands went up twice. Cameras covering every angle would soon pick out and shame the cheaters and quickly issue a red card. In reality, and I assume for no other reason than sticking with tradition we still implement the 'Ayes to the right, Nos to the left' system, whereby agreement or opposition to the motion is noted and counted by which of the two corridors an MP decides to walk down. And the same rigmarole gone through for each separate issue that has to be voted on. link- Aye and No Lobbies

I think it's more a case of realisation that he might have messed up. Along the lines of "Don't mess with the US. I'll impose my tariffs and you'll see. There's 300 million of us, and only 500 million of you. Oh, wait...oh, crap!" Can you imagine if May had been in charge of the talks during the G7 summit...or heaven forbid ~ the talks in Singapore* yesterday! May would have given in to every demand that Merkel made...as she always does! Trump told her to f**k-off, in no uncertain terms! Many years ago I was in Singapore (no...not when it fell to the Japanese Stefano ) and what a fabulous place it is. It is known for its cleanliness, unlike this country! This country is a shit-house, pure and simple! If you travel on the roads (in particular Motorways) the rubbish piled up on the side of the roads is a bloody disgrace! The government have found a way to get round it though (no pun intended), rather than removing it, they have just left the Pot-Holes! So you spend all your time avoiding them, rather than looking at all the rubbish! No...Donald is Trump's for me! *

Yep. Self aggrandising dangerous man is Trump. Kim Jong-Un looks more the Statesman from this summit. As for Trump with G7, he is marginalised and rightly so.

As AJ mentioned yesterday, Phillip Lee resigning is not of paramount importance, other than the 'Domino Effect.' Or in the case of the 'Corbett six' (yesterdays resignations) it's a case of 'Monkey see Monkey do!' Stand by for more! Poor old Donald, has a chat with willy waving Kim, averts a nuclear war...or at the very least shit loads of dead soldiers and civilians, and what does he get...abuse! Yes, I know that the Donald likes to blow his own Trump-et, but give the guy a break! Yes Sirree Bob...the Donald is the man for me!

Oh, I nearly forgot, I have decided to have a trans-gender week starting Monday! Which means from next week I would like to be referred to as Regina!

Reg, even an old non-PC stalwart like you must realise that reading the Daily Fail is not going to give you a balanced picture about anything. Whenever I venture on the website it just seems to be a load of side windows showing some unknown (to me anyway) 'celebrity', 'accidentally' flashing their bits, which, upon reflection could be deemed a redeeming feature, I suppose. The Daily Mail is a hate filled, scare mongering rag, any 'news' that is contained therein should be seen for what it is- right wing propaganda designed to promote fear and division.

It's not that I read the Mail so much, it's Littlejohn, he sees the world exactly as I see it! If you want to see an off the scales paper, look at the Express. The lambasting they give the Remoaners, and the EU lot is incredible! I must say though, that 90% of their stories, you never see anywhere else!

A lot of people, protesters in London today, are now calling for a second referendum about the terms of the deal which the government will eventually propose. How will that work? Will there be a separate vote about every single element of this deal, what if some items are voted for and some against? It's all become like some "best of three" exercise.
I am convinced that most people who voted leave were concerned with immigration, money and laws, and nothing else. Those were certainly my reasons. The government should be left to sort out the mess involving single markets, customs unions and all the business stuff. The public do not need to get involved in all of these economic side-issues.

We all know that one day, one of those 'Big Sods' is going to hit us! Equally, we know that there is 'f**k All' we can do about it! I must admit that I'm finding this very difficult to type, hiding under me bed!

They can have their 'Second Referendum'...as long as it's best if three!

The government should be left to sort out this mess - absolutely, if only they would. The whole referendum campaign was based on lies and fear tactics from both sides and I'm not convinced people actually knew what they were voting for beyond a few 'soundbites' designed to get people on side for whatever cause they were backing. Now we are left with a complete shambles whereby nobody can properly explain what is going to happen. Yes, I voted remain but I don't think there should be another vote - if the boot was on the other foot then I would be shouting the leavers down if they suggested such a thing. Stewart, genuine question, do you feel you are being given what you voted for when you marked leave? Would be interested to hear your view.
