I did enjoy the comedy sketch of Jeremy Corbyn! Nope. Never ‘eard of him. Is he the short white Tory fella who tells jokes about his producer? <iframe width="35.98" height="4.84" id="MoatPxIOPT0_71279581" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 35.98px; height: 4.84px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="35.98" height="4.84" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23858140" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1727px; top: -5px; width: 35.98px; height: 4.84px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="35.98" height="4.84" id="MoatPxIOPT0_36745189" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 181px; width: 35.98px; height: 4.84px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> height: 4.84px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> Amazingly...you've done it again...I don't understand any of it!

Looking back, I was quite surprised to see that I actually started this thread nearly two years ago, and I am equally surprised that many recent posts have adopted a comical aspect.
During the past few days, I have been reduced to a state of incandescence while watching the debates on "Brexit" in the House of Lords on channel 232. These unelected toffs are now attempting to block the majority view of the British public, and are insinuating that we, the voters at the 2016 referendum, did not know what they were voting for. These are all people who have immense wealth and have no idea what life is like at grass roots level. They are also people who love being given the opportunity to spout personal opinions in a language which is beyond the comprehension of most people.
I certainly knew what I was voting for. Firstly, I wanted to see a stop put to the numbers of Eastern European men who have come to this country for the sole purpose of creating groups which could abuse women at will. Also, people who could not speak a word of English would not be welcome here. Secondly, I wanted this government to stop paying millions of pounds into a bank in Brussels, with no prospect of reducing our own national debt. Thirdly, I wanted this country to be able to be responsible for its own laws, without its more religiously minded citizens being subjected to restrictions as their expressions of belief might offend Muslims.
If the result of the 2016 referendum is somehow overturned by the outpourings of these pompous know-it-alls, then it will be the most outrageous contravention of the democratic process, at least in my lifetime.

Similar to what I said stewart...though put in a somewhat more eloquent way!

www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-5729151/RICHARD-LITTLEJOHN-hostile-environment-immigrants-not-hostile-enough.htmlOh I do love Littlejohn! If I wasn't a retired male person (am I allowed to say that) I would marry him tomorrow! In 2007 an illegal immigrant gets in, sexually assaults a couple of women (normal day there then) get's banged up, kept there toooooooooooooooooooo long, gets a £110.000 pay out and is now living in a council house in Southampton! Receiving benefits, and sending shit loads of money abroad to his ten non-existent children! To me it's all 'Black and White' they shouldn't be here! Put the last bit in so the Remoaners could call me racist! The Windrush immigrants who came here of course were fine, they came here to work and start a new and better life. Still, with May in charge, all the immigration problems will be sorted out...for all the other countries that is, 'cause they'll all end up over here! If they already haven't of course!

If it's Government policy to make Leave voters give up and accept that we're never likely to be allowed anything approaching a worthwhile Brexit, then it's working on me. And the case of Aliou Bah, jailed twice for sex attacks since he arrived in Britain in 2007, also adds confusion. Are council houses no longer reserved for returning Jihadists ? Well done to Mr.Bah for acquiring one, and with £110,000 of taxpayers money in his deposit account, life in Southampton may not be too bad. I'm sure he's a 'Remainer' in every sense of the word, as we seem to have the devil's own job in attempting to kick him out without infringing his Human Rights. Just in case Reg's link isn't working for some, here's an alternative: Richard Littlejohn

Glad to see you're a Brexiteer like all the rest of the sane people in this country Florida! '' Brexiteer ''...what a great word. It conjures up the swashbuckling days of the ''Musketeers'', when they too fought against the injustices that were happening in their country!
Yes indeed, Littlejohn did only highlight one case, as I did on another thread regarding the Derided Young angels! If we were to highlight all the respective cases, we would be spending the rest of our lives doing so...and many future lives also!
Indeed the law was broken...but what comes first ~ the chicken or the egg? If he hadn't been in this country illegally, he wouldn't have been arrested. Would it be so bad if we did live in a police state whilst the country is in such turmoil.
And of course you can't deport any of them because...''It's against their 'Human Rights!' How I hate those words. Almost as much as when I was younger, and I would ask a fair maiden for 'a quickie!' To which she would reply (after spitting on the ground)...'Sod Off!'
I seem to remember saying on this thread somewhere, that we would never leave The Basket Case that is the EU anyway! The only way we would ever get out (with the present incumbents in charge anyway) is if the EU imploded in on itself...which it is doing at the moment thank you!

Does anyone have sufficient knowledge of parliamentary procedures to answer the following question?
Why on earth don't they all go out and vote on all of the motions at the same time, rather than wasting hours on end by trooping out every five minutes to vote on them separately?

Register The resignation of Philip Lee MP, a little known MP who held a minor ministerial position is unlikely to have any significance to Remainer May's position. Let's no forget that he is resigning in protest that attempts to halt Brexit are not being made even easier. As the Express article to which Reg links states: Dr Lee’s resignation was greeted with applause in the room from a largely Remainer audience
The Tories would not have elected May as their leader had she been an advocate of leaving the E.U. They are overwhelmingly in favour of staying 'IN' and chose a leader who shared their views. Get rid of May and there are no shortage of Remainer clones to take her place. I am convinced that there is no possibility that the Establishment will ever stand back and allow a democratic and peaceful withdrawal from the E.U. I'm sure there will eventually be something nominally referred to as Brexit in name, but it will detach us from the E.U only marginally at best. As a columnist in the Mail on Sunday put it last weekend: Blair's significance was, and remains absolutely massive. Cameron, the self styled 'heir to Blair' continued his work, and Theresa is a dyed in the wool disciple also. Blair's many years in power allowed him to set in motion his version of 'The long march through the institutions' and it has totally transformed Britain. The long march through the institutions (German: der lange Marsch durch die Institutionen) is a slogan coined by student activist Rudi Dutschke to describe his strategy for establishing the conditions for revolution: subverting society by infiltrating institutions such as the professions. The phrase "long march" is a reference to the prolonged struggle of the Chinese communists, which included a physical Long March of their army across China. It was exactly this line of thinking that lead the Blair Government to create the Trust movement; not out of the slightest concern or interest in or for football, but as part of his all consuming agenda for societal change. Cunningly realising that middle class leftists equipped with the right colour scarf around their neck can gain positions to influence and lead a section of society that would otherwise not identify with them, aided and abetted by helpful Socialist legislation such as 'Asset of Community value' etc. While stefano mentions 'the beginning of the end for Brexit', I think he and most of us know that a proper Brexit never has or will get anywhere near getting started, such is the power of it's overwhelmingly influential enemies.
