I was right in line with the penalty spot at Wembley today but was too overcome with emotion to consider taking a picture.

Yeah, he was 'Capn' for a couple of months early season if I remember rightly (when MacCrystal(?) was injured). Thats probably where he got the idea from. Plus, it trips off the tounge easier? |

Great to learn that 2 or 3 forum members were able to get up to Wembley to witness Cap'n Manse's great day and his return to the big time. The emotion of seeing one of our all time heroes demonstrate nerves of steel as he tucked away the promotion clinching penalty is quite understandable, but I secretly knew Barton wouldn't have let us down, and would have found some way to press the shutter and capture that moment for us.

What an odd question for Hector to come up with ! Although some of his pronouncements regarding the future ownership of TUFC have indicated an increasing degree of confused thinking over recent weeks.
Does Hector not recall great Cap'n Manse's words explaining the situation? They appeared on Nov 24th 2014 (page 11 of this thread). A date that Hector himself made a post to the 'Legends' thread. But just to refresh memories, these were the words of esteemed Cap'n Manse, as he explained that he only wore the armband in the absence of Mark McChrystal :
"The situation with the armband has always been temporary as far as I am concerned.
"Macca is the captain and when he comes on the pitch he takes the armband and that is that. I've enjoyed being captain on the pitch over the last couple of months and is also something that I've done over many years at other clubs.
"I'm always happy to take that sort of responsibility, but it is a responsibility I shoulder regardless of whether or not I have the armband. I don't think I tend to play or do anything different just because I have an armband on."

I confess, I do sometimes only skim read your posts, AJ, when I can filter out, all the right-wing rhetoric, so I must have missed it amongst the proclamations for UKIP etc
