Definately one to avoid. have never seen such a one footed pro player & too lightweight in his challenges and shooting.

If Bodin is going to stay there for too long then maybe Jake Ruobinson may fancy returning? No thanks to Robinson, over-rated in my humble opinion. Once the opposition worked out he could only kick with one foot he became peripheral in many games. ... Bodin on the other hand, I would take back in a heartbeat!!! Can't agree on that - from what I've seen, they suffer from exactly the same problem, although where Robinson would simply refuse to shoot with his weaker foot, Bodin just runs around in a circle Given that Morris is settled in the side and doing a decent job, I don't think we necessarily need a new first team regular winger - a good back-up would do for now. And even if we don't, we can always play Atieno and Howe instead

Swindon have completed the signing of Gillingham winger Luke Rooney on a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Maybe now we will see Billy back.

My thoughts on that were:- He tried to get Constable off Oxford (in play-off spots) He got Rooney off Gillingham (in play off spots) He won't let us have Bodin (goal difference outside play-off spots) My guess is Di Canio's next move will be for someone at either Cheltenham, Southend or Shrewsbury.

Does having a bit of cash to splash make a manager both lazy and predictable or is it because Di Canio only has a limited amount of knowledge of this level of football?

There were a few turkeys - Bough, Thompson and the fat one from Droylsden whose name I cannot recall right now. At least the one whose name cannot be mentioned wasn't his signing!

Yep - I wouldn't be keen to see the club take-on Robinson again, who would no doubt command a large salary (although he hasn't done much to justify it this season!) even if Ling was interested. I'm sure he's not coming our way - I suspect a move to somewhere like Luton or Aldershot would be more likely for him.
On the subject of Bodin, I think he is a good player, he has had some good games for us and shows promise for a youngster. We could have Bodin for a few more months perhaps, but when it comes down to it, I think the real beneficiaries of another loan move would be Swindon (and Bodin of course, but that's fine, he should do whatever is best for his career) - they get to see whether he thrives in a settled team when Di Canio perhaps doesn't see him as a first team regular at this stage of his development within his own team.
No doubt we would benefit by having Bodin in the squad for the rest of the season, but if it is just to be a loan move then maybe we would be better-off playing Morris on the wing and continuing to try and unearth rough diamonds like Nathan Craig - a player with a pedigree not unlike Eunan's. We develop the player, we therefore receive the benefit, unlike we would in this case.
A few weeks ago I thought Bodin would almost certainly be heading back here, but I'm not so sure now. That said, there is a big pool of players out there - I have no doubt that Ling already has some thoughts towards next season and if there is little prospect of getting Bodin here then maybe he will look elsewhere to address these needs - after all, we are about 9 points from almost certain safety. Whether this is addressed from our youth team our players that have slipped through the net elsewhere I think Ling will have a different sort of a pre-season to last year - as for now, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if we went into February with our current squad.

With Ipswich rejecting Swindon's offer for Murray and wanting to extend his contract by another year, it may only be natural for Di Canio to assess what he has already got. However, still almost two weeks of the window remaining open and the merry go round is only going to get faster as we build up to the now traditional frantic finish of fax machine roulette! ;D

Swindon offered him to a number of league 2 clubs last week. I'm guessing the only reason we haven't already agreed a deal is beacuse of the fee they are after....
