Our trips on the road aren't getting any easier with another long trip up North to the pre-season favourites that will test our unbeaten record to the extreme. Of course this will be the first time that we will again meet "that" managerial duo since their move from Crawley although "el fatso" has picked up a 6 match stadium ban for his part in the Bradford match fiasco and will be elsewhere.... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19520436 By coincidence, Rotherham visited Port Vale last weekend and their defence didn't cope so well in a 6-2 thrashing although their home form is much better with respective 3-0 and 4-0 wins against Burton and Bradford only sullied by a 0-1 loss at home to York in the paint pot trophy last week. Whether this is the start of a mini slump (even if only for three games ;D) remains to be seen but regardless this will be very difficult and we will need to show all the resilience shown away last year.... Things seem to be looking up on the injury front (which may turn out to be a blessing in disguise) with Danny looking unbelievably good coming back after a month on the sidelines. Easton could well be back but I think Nathan Craig would be very unlucky to lose his place and when Ling said he was one to watch, I'm sure he didn't anticipate it being during September. Otherwise, the starting XI looks nailed on....

Their away form has been terrible but at the new stadium they've been very good. I can't see us getting much from this

Going to be another long day leaving at seven in the morning and hopefully home by midnight. Never did see them play at Milllmoor so shall have a look at the old ground at least if its still standing. I think a point from this game would be another very good result for us and i think i would happily take it now.

Looking forward to a middle distance trip for me to 'New York' tomorrow and visiting what looks like a decent new ground.
I can't decide wether we'll get spanked after fatty has been on at their lot all week post Port Vale, or yet another draw.
I think i'll go for the latter. 1-1 with us scoring first.

tough game this one, even more so after their 6-2 hiding last week, teams always usually respond well after a tanking, crawley got a few stuffings last year under slimebag but still got promoted,i suspect sadly he will get them promoted as well, but regarding tomorrow another draw i think, but would obviously love us to turn em over up there,if we turn up on a defensive mode though i suspect we will lose, just go for it imho

If you're at the game tomorrow you'll probably hear this:
Start spreading the news Steve Evans is away He won't be a part of it New York, New York
Those vagabond shoes No tax to pay Won't be at the heart of it New York, New York
I hope to be supplying a rather different set of pictures.

I’m sure we would all be more than happy with a point from this game, but Martin Ling will send out the players with one thing on their mind to go and grab all three points. We have proved we are a hard team to beat and I do not think Rotherham will find it any easier. It might well be one of those games were we have to soak up long periods of pressure, but we will get chances to score and we need to try and make them count.
So a point won’t be a disaster as there is still a long way to go in this season, but as I said on another thread, we do need if we are going to end up near the top of the table this season, to start turning the draws into wins.
I hope all fellow fans who are attending the match have a safe journey and an enjoyable day and that you consider sharing your thoughts and views on the game with your fellow TFF members.
My boss wanted to lend me a bicycle to cycle with him from Paignton to Dartmouth to watch the end of one of the stages of the Tour Of Britain today . I asked him what time he was planning to set off and he told me around midday. I pointed out we would need to leave at 6am if he expected me to cycle all that was if we stood any chance of ever getting there lol
So I have declined his offer and instead will go and find a local park game to watch so I can get my football fix and do what I also love doing, trying to get good action shots with my camera.
Have a great day fellow members and fans what ever you are doing today.
Dave

Beautiful day here in Sheffield ! Really don't know how this one is going to go - how will Rotherham react after last week ? How will they do without Evans ? How will grandson look in his new Gulls shirt ? (he's a junior Blade but I'm working on it !). I've great confidence in the goal threat from Rene and Billy - surely one of them will hit the target today. Looking forward to seeing Nathan Craig after reading so much positive stuff about him.

Yep, I'm on the X78. Sun out, not a cloud in the sky and the Tinsley Viaduct looks stunning.
