Bugger didn't see that coming . Cant wait to see fat boys face and all the bollocks he is bound to spout off as he did after his last defeat. Would I just love them to slip out of contention. Mind you he may offer us half a million for Eunan now!

A recent run of two defeats for us, no win against them in five, debutant 19 year-old at centre-half and an impressive home record for the Creepies... anything can happen with this team!
I didn't dare believe we would win today - I really hate Evans and Raynor - Evans because he deprived a good honest club in Dagenham and Redbridge of a rightful promotion by illegal means (and the authorities were spineless in their punishment) and Raynor because of the 'Darren Moore incident' - which really could have changed the outcome of the careers of Don O'Riordan and perhaps several other players who never played above the bottom division in the remainders of careers. Neither of them have any class and have personas that certainly disgust me in terms of football. I hope their club implodes (although given their cup runs and transfer revenue that they have generated, I suspect that won't be for a while). Anyway, that's enough about those two bloated bags of s***, it's all about TUFC today and a really good win. Ling will no doubt be keeping their feet on the ground ("Crisis, what crisis?"!!!), two big home games coming up in the next week are what matters now.
Well done to the 450-odd today - a good turn-out and hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

Crawley have been absolutely abysmal lately, though. We were the favourites. As you say, we daren't believe we would win, because it's Crawley, but I think most neutrals would have predicted us to win this despite our recent hiccups
Hope that silences the whingers. Again

I don't think most neutrals would have looking at the pre match odds. A draw would have been a fairer outcome today, but sod fair. McDonald looked surprisingly composed for a young debutant. Feel very assured we have him as cover. Nice work Lingy. The stand out thing about today was the state of their pitch, which from a distance looked very much the reason why the unchallenged Stevens went down with what I would guess as an ankle injury, possibly knee. It didn't look good. Great clumps of turf were ripped out every time there was any sort of challenge. Ryan Jarvis, Danny's replacement (He went right and Morris switched to left) looked ok. Didn't do anything wrong. Didn't excite either. Work in progress. They were cheats, but we all know that anyway. Their number 7 being the main culprit, but thankfully his diving was being ignored in the second half from a poor ref who gave them everything in the first half, including a ridiculous yellow card for Oastler.
Bobby collected everything against a surprisingly toothless Crawley attack, who were second best to Ellis and McDonald all game. Their best spell was at the beginning of the second half when our midfield looked worryingly as if it may be overrun by the Torres injected Crawley midfield. But we rallied and from about 60 mins, the sides looked evenly matched and it seemed things would peter out to a stalemate. Not to be. Cool finish from Eunan on the rebound central to the goal from the edge of the area.
Olejnik 8 Oastler 7.5 Ellis 8 McDonald 7.5 Nico 7 Jarvis 7 Lathrope 7.5 O'Kane 8 (MoM) Mansell 8 Morris 6.5 Howe 7.5 (Clever effort with keeper off line early in second half)

Thanks for the report there Rob! Really chuffed with the sweetest of results today and that is now wins against all the other top six sides bar Southend since Christmas who we play next month! Could bode well for the play offs if we end up there that is. After a brief stutter should boost the confidence levels up again. Both loan signings made their debut and significant contributions today and generally speaking Ling knows a good player when he sees one!

Any guesses as to how much time Evans can force the fourth official to add on! 6

Wow what a finish its going to be. The season is certainly going to live up to our expectations.
Gills back on song and could push Crawley out of it completely. wouldn`t fancy the play offs with Gills & Oxford.
Top 3 is by no means done & dusted. Still think cheltenham is going to drop back.
Shrews too unpredictable to call. So 2 wins this week could see us back in the frame for an auto place.
Well done Utd.....amazing

Hope that silences the whingers. Again Not sure we get many 'whingers' on here - possibly fans who may have concerns about formations, playing style, signings, lack of signings etc etc. It would be a dull forum otherwise shirley? I for one was surprised with the size of the Crawley squad that they lost but well done Mr Ling - guess it was down to the signing of a forward although I'm sure some will say he was the toad in the hole or the fairy on top of the Christmas tree rather than a forward, formation wise. Nice to see O'Kane on the score sheet. ;D

Not sure we get many 'whingers' on here - possibly fans who may have concerns about formations, playing style, signings, lack of signings etc etc. It would be a dull forum otherwise shirley? Maybe, CG, but the fans who have (and I quote) "concerns about formations, playing style, signings, lack of signings etc etc" are not trained in professional football. Martin Ling is, as is Shaun Taylor. Their decisions, so far this season, have been criticised, ridiculed and second-guessed on this forum; yet Martin Ling's decisions have turned out to be the right ones. I agree that it would be a dull forum without difference of opinion, but it is the plethora of forum members who seem to know so much more than Martin Ling and his team, and no coincidence that the same culprits knew so much more than Paul Buckle and his team, that are the reason I'm no longer a regular on here. Unless any player, especially any player signed since June 2011, scores a hat-trick, saves a penalty or clears five off the line in a 10-minute spell (okay I might be exaggerating) they are judged as not being good enough, lacking in quality, not as good as [name of favourite]. None of this is objective, it is all subjective. Subjective is fine if its constructive, but not when its self-rightous, unfounded, myopic, innacurate rubbish that is spouted either to gain some bizarre status on this site or to demean one of the players of OUR club who we are meant to be supporting. We're in 5th place, for goodness sakes, 8 points clear of the table position that misses out on the play offs. Honestly, how can there be anything negative to say about this season; the season that was supposed to be about rebuilding?! I might not have had my required intake of pops and spinneys this week...
