The London Riots, it`s going off in Brum and all sorts! Deffo time for military action, the police are too tied up with liberal leftism, if it isn`t nipped in the bud now big time then it`s going to go country wide. Any one starts smashing up Torquay and I might just consider doing what the Old Bill are blatantly too scared to do, fight back!!!!!!!!!! Is this the time for the people to stand up against Tyranny? If I wasn`t so angry about it I`d be very worried!

Report from Green Street, West Ham fans and locals have kicked some arse against the Rioters, 100 locals have beaten away 40 rioters, I hope this vigilanty grows and shows the government and the police how its done! Grow a friggin` spine England!

Reports of Turkish business owners protecting their shops with baseball bats, fair play to `em! Come England get behind those leading the revolt and uprise against the rioting scum! We so far have Green Street rebelion if they conbined with the Turkish community and a few others then police will start to look really stupid, not to mention the polititions. The t0sser who`s name escapes me at the moment who is the leader of the Liberals warned that if the Torries got in there would be riots and now he`s in denial!

Nick Clegg has a lot to answer for, he predicted this and now denies it!

Can`t believe Lambeth hasn`t waded in and protested about my extreme views, should we ask the nice people that are rioting to please sit around a table and discuss this in a civilised manner? Like f**k we should!

Christ .... This is big stuff indeed .... I think we need to learn from the German way of doing things ie Break out the water cannons and blast the scumbags
But after the riots in May,when the police were spectators and watchin on while these gits were smashin stuff up and chucking stuff of the top of buildings
Sadly our Police in London seem ill equiped and seem to be standing off ... rather than get involved in the aggro
London's burning boys

If I wasn`t so angry about it I`d be very worried! Whilst recognising that this is a football forum and so not really wanting to get too involved with current political debate, you will find that a lot of police officers have already been hospitalised so nobody can say that they are not there on the front line. "Fight back" has of course got to be within the law. A police officer can go to prison just as easily as anybody else if they over step the mark (ie make a wrong judgement) and injure or kill somebody (unlawfully). They will get more time as well than that bloody stupid student who threw a fire extinguisher at the police from a very tall building. Echoes of the 1980's here where at the slightest excuse gangs of unemployed criminals cause mayhem. Similarities too. The Labour Government had dragged the country to it's knees by the late 70's and a strong Conservative government took over and were rewarded with riots for trying to get the country going again. Same again. The last Labour government took over a stronger economy than ever before. Gordon Brown (who really ran everything all along with that puppet Blair as a front man) stole all the pension funds, stuffed all our gold into one of those envelopes you get through the door, brought the country to it's knees again .... before handing over to a Conservative government who will inevitably get the blame for the riots. Whilst I can see the logic Aussie in setting up machine gun posts most of our deficit is due to our spending on foreign policy trying to stop other countries from killing their own people. Looking forward to TQ1 issue 2 as the pasta and chicken strips recipe worked a treat!

Seen bits of the news but can't see any water canons etc. .............Plods' hands are tied I think Phil - its' all to do with Elf n Safety and all that - I think its only in the Province in Norn Iron that water cannon are cleared to be used at present............ .........once AGAIN, our Old Bill being made to look bloody fools in the eyes of the world - I imagine in the States now, there would be widespread use of Tear Gas, Tazers and Baton Rounds at the VERY minimum, some of the rather less (or is it more tbh) enlightened countries in the world, possibly Russia, China, Singapore etc, they would simply machine-gun these feckin' bleeders mercilessly where they stood, I feel - what do we have? - a police force who have had their images bolstered by countless "Cops With Cameras" programmes where the participants achieve a peculiar, self-perpetuating "film-star" status and a lot of beefy chappies in boiler suits with metal shields and nice blue crash helmets, and frankly very little else - I suspect that troops will be called in by midnight tonight, locked and loaded....................... .........Bryn the police dog, if you can hear this, you're needed again matey!.......

Steve I may have put that wrong, I know the police have their hands tied by the politicians and the politically correct brigade but I did try to blame the government rather than the Old Bill, I also think that the police need to stand up to the government and tell them just how it should be done. It is in my opinion that the police officers that were injured were done so because they can`t act accordingly!

This effects all of us, try not to be so precious! Also I hope your no where near this, it`s f**ken horrible! All I`m doing is putting up a topical thread and wondered about your stance on the political side of the issue, if I came across as being pompous and enjoying this then I whole heartedly apologise!

Mr-W
I think there could well be a Human Rights issue with the use of water cannon. Should you end up with damp clothes as a result of actions by the authorities there would surely be a case to answer.
That could lead to a chill..to flu, maybe worse.
Should any of our London lefties be out on the street..shoulder to shoulder with the disaffected yoof could I possibly order a pair of Nike trainers size 10, from a security challenged JD Sports ?. Top of the range preferrably if there are some left, slight fire damage acceptable. I'll collect them & hand over a tenner at the Dagenham & Redbridge away game in a few weeks time...assuming you've not burnt down their grandstands by then.
