After three defeats in the league on the trot, we do need to get back to winning ways, or at least stop the losing run and it may be the case getting a draw against Rochdale may be a good result and one that can then get us back into winning ways.
I have not heard how bad the injury Charnock has, but we did miss him in our last home game and I hope he is able to recover for this game.
We sure need Mansell back and if he is fit to play and Charnock is not, then at least Robertson could slot back in next to Todd.
Hargreaves might not be fit, but I'm more than happy to see Thompson get a full start with Wroe as I do feel if they both play well, then we should do well in this game.
I do not know much about the Rochdale team, players etc, but it they have big old slow defenders, I would like to see Benyon start with Rendell, if they are not so big lets start with Sills and make sure we get decent crosses into the box, as If we do he will put them away.
Stevens really does deserve to start and Carlisile's name must be first on the team sheet these days. I will go for a win, when did we last lose four on the trot? can't see it happening now.

Agree Dave. We really need something from this game and i would settle for a draw right now. 3 points tho would be very welcome. Actually i don't believe that our 3 loses have affected the confidence of the players which is a credit to them. But we do need a result to turn the corner.

Mansell has come through all the training this week with no problems, so it looks hopefully he will start the game for us. With the next round of the Johnson cup against Southampton in early October, Poke must be starting I would have thought, as he can't play against his own club in that cup match.
So Bevan should get about a month to recover and get fit for that game, unless we bring Rice back for the one game.

Not an easy fixture, and a long trip. We need to stop the rot & come home with at least a point. I suggest we keep it tight and if we manage to hit them on the break so much the better. I'd happily take a draw.

No Mansell. Hargreaves & Sills on the Bench I think Rendell deserves to start again with Benyon, even more so having Thompson playing, as if he gets his game together, then he should be playing the ball up to Rendells feet, or in turn and look for the runs of Benyon. Rendell just had his shot defected, benyon put the ball into the net, but Benyon given off side, DT would like to see it again.

TEAM: (4-4-2) Poke. Robertson, Todd, Hodges, Nicholson. Carlisle, Thompson, Wroe, Stevens. Benyon, Rendell. Subs: Bevan, Brough, Carayol, Hargreaves, Williams, Joyce, Sills. Mansell failed fitness teast this morning or would have returned to start. Benyon "goal" disallowed for off side on 15 mins Rochdale seem to be penetrating a lot down the flanks, and Poke already made a couple of fine saves. We don't sound to have started urgently enough!

25 Min: Dale attack the space behind Nicho as we push forward but lose possession and hit us on the break to go one up when Poke parries a shot but cannot stop the follow up from Dagnall. Has to recieve treatment before they can re-start.

The goal was coming and we seem as merse said to lack any urgency, we need to tighten up and make sure we do not let them score another goal before half time.
Plenty of time to get our act together and I'm sure Bucks will make changes if its not working, but he won't have that many options.
