Goal1: Evidence indeed of Wroe strolling back at his own pace..................absolutely not acceptable and I don't think Poke would be too pleased with the way he dealt with the initial shot either. I assume that you are not blaming Wroe for their first goal? Sloppy defending and we let their player walk past two of our players at rightback. You've been caught ball watching Ospel.................look again at how Wroe fails to show any appreciation of the situation and fails to get himself in a covering postion where the winger skips through the two markers who had already been troubled by him, and maybe he could have got closer to the scorer too. Lack of urgency, almost in the "standing and pointing" mode and NOT good enough!

I agree that Wroe should have moved earlier and faster to the appearing gap behind the two defenders. But it's not his fault that two defenders are caught sleeping. Goals are (very) often the result of mistakes made by the other team. That's 4 players on our side who could have acted much better for Rochdale's first goal. Wroe, Poke and the two defenders. Can't remember who they were. Keith Hill will applaud his winger for making the action and skip past two defenders.
