Greavsie for Benyon sounds like going with Williams being pushed further up and an attempt to address the usual problem with Stevens and Benyon in the side away from home of the ball not sticking up front
As DT is saying, the team HAVE to start at the same tempo, urgency and keep possession up front that the opposition do.
I cannot see that starting with Benyon AND Stevens in a side will achieve this. They won't change, they are not reliable footballers of the standard we require in this league and are at best impact players to bring on when the game is stretched.
There is much to work on in my opinion as it seems that too many players are failing to take the manager's allowance to step up to the plate.
Rochdale, like D&R; are a decent enough League 2 side who achieved the play offs in the past two seasons and have a settled sort of set up that appreciates the pace and demands of this league.
OK. Greavsie has just scored but we MUST take something from this game and it must be to apply the knowledge (hopefully) gained of just what this league demands.
