Getting very tight at the bottom with several clubs on 25 points and Grimbsy seem to be picking up points.

Another game where it sounded like we deserved something out of the game and while we were under pressure a lot in the first half, we sure put some good pressure on Chesterfield in the second half and had a goal ruled out for offside when it may well should have been given.
Three defeats on the trot and two of those were a bit harsh on us, but we do now really need to get a result in our next game and stop this losing run getting any longer. I hope we will get some great match reports later and I would expect the view from those at the game were we really did deserve at least a draw.

Easy to say now, but the bench didn't seem to have that quality to bring on to change the game. Striker must be top of Bucks list.. ...surely.
While we played well and 'didn't deserve' to lose, we did and three valuable points lost.
I'll be happier when I can have a pint later.

Horrible 0-1 Another league defeat......and another apparent refereeing mistake has cost us any points. This one may not be another "Singhgate" but you just knew that Chesterfield would nick one after it. Big heavy pitch......1-0 down who do we have to bring on up front? Benyon........who in those conditions is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard........ would have been made for Sillsy today ..........can't understand why we took Zebroski off?

That's a constructive comment and my response would be to wait and see who is the "replacement" for Sills before the window closes.....................transfers out cannot always be held off until "transfers in" have been completed. I've just heard from someone at Saltergate (who will be posting on here later) that Sills appears to be this years "Woods Stick" for the Village Idiot factor amongst our support to beat the manager with.....................can't wait for the Player of the Season vote then

A very happy Paul Buckle giving his radio interview, he is pleased with the team and how they played and did not moan about the decision that ruled out the goal we scored.
Very upbeat and he firmly believes we are looking a very good side and he also hinted we might be seeing some new faces next week as I think we are all expecting to hear that Nico will be on his way very soon.
A refreshing interview after a defeat and one that says there is nothing to worry about and we will be back to winning ways very soon.

seemed from the commentary that we didnt come out of the traps until the second half, but no need to press any panic buttons as yet, wait until PB unveils his plans for moving forward. It seemed almost as if chesterfield were more than happy to catch us on the break, swings and roundabouts decisions are,we will probably get the rub of the green again somewhere soon

Nice to get home early....now got to get my fancy dress gear on!!! Have to say a very solid but not spectacular performance. I know Chesterfield have best home record in the league but personally I dont think they really worried us---and feel gutted that we came away with nothing. Even though we were at the far end of the ground I was convinced the goal was a goal--the disapointment seemed to upset the team and shape. My first view of young Smith and he does look quality and very cool. A few of the "old timers" really should have played better--Rendell looked lost at times,Tarzan started to lose his temper before being subbed. Final findings from a "Nice" day out with my lad: 1/Very welcoming club at the ground............and the decor from the 1950's still looks good ;D 2/This is the last season at Saltergate and no wonder....sitting on wooden benches doesnt do you any good!!! 3/ Most enjoyable moment however was.........I sat behind David Graham. He is on crutches currently having broken his leg playing for current side Ilkeston Town and is out for the rest of the season. Had a lovely chat and very interesting how highly he rated his time at the seaside with us!! I have just done a quick google and realise now that it looks like his girlfriend is the Blue Peter girl....so an afternoon with the stars!!!!

I can vouch for the "very welcoming" aspect...............the last time I was their they became the first (and so far only) club to direct me to the Senior Citizen's entrance without my asking; and THAT was at least five years ago when I was only 52. It had to be the matching flat cap and herringbone greatcoat I was wearing that day eh? Those benches are so ancient they have been "shaped out" by generations of fat arsed punters..................at least those in the OAP section have!
