A match day thread I can start with confidence that the game will take place, not just because our pitch is in first class condition, but the weather forecast states it will be a dry weekend, but cold.
Poor Scott Bevan has still not had the opportunity to see how he is progressing, maybe he will in the end next Tuesday night. With the news that Carlilse is fit and ready for action and the fact we will be playing on a good surface, I would hope we start with the same line-up we did against Cheltenham.
With our last league game ending up with us getting a good beating, the players will want to get that game out of their minds and do what they can to get back to winning ways.
We need all three points as we are far to close to the relegation zone and we do need to get as far away from it as we can before the transfer window as we may well find then we have lost a few loan players by then and might be a weaker team going into the second half of the season.

A win here and I think you can kiss Darlo goodbye. IMO the biggest match of the season so far.
Shame we couldn't have started the season like those lucky, lucky, 7p cheating, bucket rattling gits from up the road with three clubs on minus points.

Can`t see us winning this one, these are the games we must win to take pressure off us, well you know what we`re like, we seem to enjoy pressure for some sick reason! We just don`t do comfortable, it`s too easy, we must have no nails left and hair receding at the end of every campaign, history says so!

With Darlington having conceded 14 goals in their last four defeats, you would expect us to get a few goals against them. It has often been the case we have not fully taken advantage of playing teams we should really beat and have so often lost against them.
I can't see anything but a win for us, we do need to get our defense playing better and be far more aware of their defensive positions, as that is where they have let themselves down in recent games.
I feel Zebs will be too strong for their defenders and I would stick with Rendell playing upfront with him. We might see Nico start, I think Bucks may want to rest Smith for one game and from the reports of our last game, Nico came on as a sub and did the sort of job we all know he can.
I will hopefully get a match report done and put up before I go out tomorrow night. Its our works Christmas party and we always go out for a three coarse meal etc, all paid for by the boss.
I may have to do the match photos and programmes pages on Sunday morning.

Nothing less than a 4-0 thrashing is acceptable. However Buckle has shown his inability to get results so far at home against equally weak opposition so i expect a draw or he'll do a Grimsby. Nearly half the season gone and still uncomfortably close to the drop zone.

I think lessons would have been learnt from the Accrington Stanley Defence Cave In or was it after you Claude type of defending? Still having nighmares about the defending (well lack of it) that day.
With Charnock back in for Ellis one hopes that the Cheltenham will turn up rather than the Grimbsy one (jeez weren't Grimbsy poor that day).
I can see a win today and if results go are way (half-time results read out League Two FIRST please!) we could go up 3 places or so.
Right I'm off to see if that Devon Monopoly is still there....

The weather conditions couldn't be better so hopefully we will see a good game of football. I would think Smith will start but Nicholson could come on later, particularly if we are well on top. I know Hargreaves is a doubt but Thompson is an able deputy. Will Ellis come back in? And if so who for? I think the line up could be: - Poke Mansell Robertson Charnock Smith Carlisle Thompson Wroe Thomson Rendell Zebroski Any win will do!

Is 5-0 acceptable in the Far East? I'm all for starting the 'Buckle Out' bandwagon again! Totally unacceptable display!!

Happy listening. If only we could keep this team all season. Never mind. I just hope the players and club get rewarded Tuesday and move onwards and upwards.
