It struck me on Saturday that their goal keeper was wearing the number 13 on his back, like he needs any bad luck the way he plays! Several years ago when the CGs were sponsoring a home game with Halifax we were given a tour of the dressing rooms. Unfortunately a certain highly decorated member who 's name reminds me of a smoked haddock but who shall remain nameless; chose to abuse the hospitality and wrote "Loser" along the bottom of the Halifax keeper's no 1 on his jersey in black felt tip pen. Oh how we laughed when he duly ran out with it clearly apparent on his apparel! So he was stitched up like a kipper! ;D

Hmmmm, apparently it's ok to call me a tit, dumbtwhat, mad, and a ladyboy f**k*r. But not ok for me to react angrily to that abuse. I've had several pms from sick tw@ts who think because i live in Thailand i must be some kind of tabloid stereotype. As a professional salesman i work in an emerging market called Asia. Thailand is a convenient central location. So to all the small minded tabloid readers, i really look forward to meeting you in person.
You can of course pm me to apologise for your abuse. I won't apologise for my response.

Dave if you are getting PM's you are not happy with then just let me know, abuse is the one thing I will clamp down on the forum. I think I took out the code that allows members to block PM's from anyone member they choose, you will remember I put it in before because of one member we know well.
I will check my headers and footers to see if the code is in or not,if it is not I will find it again and put it back in.

The code is still in the forum, in the PM window anyone can just click Preferences a new window will open with a box for you to put the user name in of the person you do not want to receive Pm's from, don't forget to click the save button on the bottom.

@ Chelston and Aussie: You're both probably right about the name calling. Please feel free to replace 'sod' with another noun. As Daver has said in the past "this site is self moderated" we control ourselves here as best we can mate and I know Daver is particularly proud of the way we moderate ourselves, even though we have a moderator I feel he shouldn`t have to do a lot, self control (something I lack in ) is the key to being sensible, and on that note I think I better lay down in a dark room and compose myself! I`ve come over all light headed! What have I said now?

Looking back, it would appear that Midlands and your good self were posting at similar times but about different things, stiff willies and DTG might have something in common but not as far as I know or want to know, no offense DTG! Phil I believe you were referring to a bit that Merse posted about Nelsons Column and accidentally got dragged into the slagging off match that was going on around your post!

Haven't had a "w@nk" for so long it was good to get some stimulation on reading your particular offering of "t@ss" from the East this morning DtG, but that and the TV footage of the five goals I have just enjoyed; have left me positively rampant on a gloomy December morning. Just for you again Dave, my comments on the 5-0 victory against a hapless and cast adrift Darlington who's defending defied belief. That's not to denigrate the effort of our players...............all games have to be won and all poor sides need to be put to the sword and our past failings to do so have almost achieved legendary status on this forum. Having only listened on the internet and seen 3 minutes of TV footage, there is little else I feel I can offer with any sense of authority.

They were a poor side merse and it has been posted already we could have got even more goals.we should not get carried away with this result, the performance was no where near as good as it was against Cheltenham.
Our game this weekend will be a better test to judge how well the team are progressing.

For what it's worth, whilst I think your little online campaign against Paul Buckle is as irritating as it is ridiculous, I wouldn't stoop to racist and unfair stereotypes about your country of residence, or to making vile and ignorant accusations by PM.

Not guilty your honour!!!! The Pm service on here is 100% private as it should be, I have no way of knowing who sends PMs and to whom they send them too. I would be surprised if Dave has received such Pm's recently, he did a very long time ago from one member we all know, but he no longer comes on the forum. I did deal with it for Dave the last time and the code I have referred to was put in for his use.

Some people at the game weren't happy at only 5 nil eh ***!! Who me? I must admit that I was a little disappointed that we did not take more ruthless advantage of what was almost certainly the poorest defence I have ever seen in my life When it went to 2-0, I was hoping we would get double figures. I would have loved to be able to claim that "I was there" at our highest league win. Even with a few minutes to go, I was hoping for a "personal best" of seven. I've seen a couple of sixes and I think that was my tenth five. How Benyon missed near the end is beyond me. Everybody, including the goalie, was running away from him to allow him to score. Did he feel sorry for them and let them off? Was he just utterly confused by the surreal situation of being able to head towards goal totally unopposed? I suppose Darlo's defence may not have looked so utterly inept if they weren't up against such pace and movement from Zebroski and Thomson. They would stretch a decent defence and they made a useless defence look ridiculous. I have never felt we would go down - and if we can keep Zebs, Thomson and Smith that is a certainty. Can we go on a winning streak, as we have in the last two seasons, and start bothering the top rather than the bottom of the table? It's not impossible, but it's unlikely. It will be a lot tougher against league teams (Darlington, Cheltenham and Grimsby aside) than it was in the BSP. It's an old chestnut, but you usually have to win the right to play the open flowing football that Darlington and Cheltenham lay back and let us get on with. We couldn't do that at Accrington. Can we do it at Macclesfield and at Crewe? I think the next few days will go a long way towards telling us whether we have a team that can really dig in and move up the table or just one that can inflict enough punishment on the really poor teams to keep our noses clear of the dog-fight. As for Zebs and Thomson, sit back and enjoy - for as long as it may last. We haven't had so much fun running at defenders since the days of Roberts and Jack. Of course, when you have Russell and Fowler threading the passes through, the forwards don't need to run!
