Didn't go much on Slumdog Millionnaire tbh. I found it formulaic and thought the performance from Dev Patel - whose 'acting' pretty much consisted of adopting two facial expressions - was very irritating.
Another film which for some reason got rave reviews was 'Looking for Eric' - a complete turkey of a film imo, and seemed to be a cross between The Full Monty and Crocodile Dundee. Quite how Eric Cantona's performane was lauded is a mystery.

Pulp Fiction Memento Saving Private Ryan Reservoir Dogs Slumdog Millionaire The Green Mile Snatch Kill Bill The Big Lebowski Trainspotting Twelve Monkeys Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels In Bruges The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Pirates of the Caribbean The Good, The Bad and the Ugly And probably forgot some... I like your style, ospel. All bar Pirates out of that list worth a watch IMO. May I add "Leon" and "Gangs of New York" as worthy of this thread. Also agree with bbc's choice of Sliding Doors. Clever film that.

I liked Waltz with Bashir, which I thought was bloody brilliant. Has to be seen in a cinema to get the full effect though.

;D Liking the name too, ospel.
Just watched Master and Commander:The Far Side of The World again. Cracking film. there's a few actors who i wouldn't say were great actors, but they rarely do a duff one. Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington and Brad Pitt( I haven't seen Mr and Mrs Jones and imagine that's sh*te though) spring to mind.

Leon is another great film - the actor (who's name escapes me) has done some great French and US stuff usually as a supporting actor. Hold on a ball cleared off the line and another Pokey save - really must concentrate!

Another film to add to my original list which I watched last night on TCM(Sky Channels 317&318).
The film is Kes.
A very bleak and sad film which may not be to everbodys taste.
Despite this it contains one very funny scene featuring Brian Glover as the Sports Teacher.
