Still a bit of a hold up with some of the replica kit. My order of a full youth kit and Adult shirt is being part sent out today, minus the youth shirt and shorts, which are still to arrive from Vandanel.

Snap, though strangely enough they have the away kit in stock.

I placed my order for the away kit two weeks ago, asked for an explanation why it hadn't arrived yet and still haven't received anything...not a single word as to why nor an apology of any kind.
It's almost as if the club doesn't want fans' goodwill.

My shirt finally arrived yesterday and whilst I like the styling, I have to agree on the size-up thing. Although it is a little on the long side comparatively so a step up in size and the missus could use it as a dress/nightshirt! I know i'm not the svelte young thing I was but when I tried the shirt on it was certainly tight in some places. May well have to cut down on the nice stuff and try to up the exercise.... Why do shirt manufacturers produce replica shirts that measure in at the small end of the size descriptions when they know full well that the majority of wearers are not "match-fit"? Strikes me they would sell more if they made them more of a comfort fit. Baffles me sometimes this world of ours.

Excuses excuses, bet Jon would like to back you up on that one, some of us are match fit and would look ridiculous in a over sized shirt, you could look down the Pop side and swear it was the roof of the Sainsburys store on the way in to Plymouth with the right wind! Must remember to avoid Jon at next game!

There wasn't an air of organisation on the other end of the phone, pleasant as they were.

The above problem could have been sorted if you hadnt been tight and purchased a youth size ;D ;D Keep going with the predictions......promotion here I come...chase me...chase me!!!!

I only wonder if there would have been a such a problem if the club shop was not franchised out to the shirt manufacture. As I said before surly this arrangement means they run the club shop? I'm sure if that was not the case then the club would have been giving them a hard time as it would have been letting their customers down.
Maybe it works in a different way, but thats how all franchises I have ever known worked.

Certainly a simple enough design this season although personally i would rather see blue rather than black numbers etc.... These black and gold silk scarves were available in the club shop around 1973 ish....

The 'any colour you like, as long as it's black' rule has been scrapped. Now there's an 1899 shirt for everyone, and with a much extended range of colours. link - Kits Out For The Lads

Very simple, very wearable and not much to dislike imo...

Sadly, it looks like their advertising some sort of beer! Which of course would be nice if we were being paid for it!

Sadly, it looks like their advertising some sort of beer! Which of course would be nice if we were being paid for it! The impression I get is that the 1899 thing is a Pro-direct initiative, meaning that Pro-direct have paid for the front of the shirts just like any sponsor would. This would explain why the club appears to be celebrating 120 years when other clubs have waited until their 125th anniversaries.
