The Torquays Fans Forum is privileged and proud, to be able to make the following announcement.
City Link Builders ltd
are the new Shirt Sponsors of Torquay United.
The forum would firstly like to thank Sean Melhuish, for his generous sponsorship to Torquay United and also like to once again thank him and his Company City Link Builders ltd, for sponsoring our new Youth Team setup.
Sean very kindly agreed to give the Torquay Fans Forum, an exclusive interview, Sean had a very busy schedule today and I would personal like to thank him, for finding the time to give the Forum this interview.
Dave…. Hello and very nice to be able to talk with you again Sean, I would like to say on behalf of all the Torquay United Fans, a very big thank you, for the generous sponsorship to the club and if possible would like to ask you a few questions, about the sponsorship.
Sean….thanks Dave for giving me the opportunity and I’m privileged and proud to give the Torquay Fans Forum this exclusive interview.
Dave… Sean could you tell me why your company City Link Builders ltd and more importantly yourself, have decided to sponsor our club this season.
Sean…. Yes the reasons I’m so proud of this is, because I have been a life long Torquay United fan. It is an honour to be given this opportunity, to put something back into the club that I support and love.
I would also like to give my thanks to Colin Lee and Alex Row, because this has enabled my dreams to come true.
Dave………Can you tell me how long the sponsorship deal will be and if it’s your intension, to renew the sponsorship at the end of its term.
Sean….The deal is for one year, as this will enable the home kit to run its coarse, however City Link Builders Ltd are very keen to continue the excellent relationship, it has with Torquay United.
Dave….Some people are speculating how much exactly the sponsorship is costing City Link Builders Ltd, are you able to tell me how much the whole package is worth.
Sean….As a company we would never divulge that kind of information, however I’m assured that this is the biggest sponsorship deal in Torquay United history
Dave…I hope you don’t mind me asking this Sean, but some fans seem to have a bad boy impression of you, I understand it relates to when you were a younger man, is there anything you would like to say on this.
Sean….Yes I do understand some peoples concerns, however we have all seen over the last 12 months, the complete change Torquay United has gone through, from top to bottom. I’m very sure the people who already know me, can confirm I have changed for the better. To further make this point, the main reason I’m involved with the Youth Team Setup, is because I want to see the club with a fresh start, as people should see me.
Dave…….Thank you very much Sean for sparing the time to talk with me, I firmly believe, that with the board the club now has and sponsors such as yourself, our club will only go one way and that is up.
Sean….thank you very much Dave, can I also thank you for setting up the Torquay Fans Forum, I firmly believe it is the number one forum for the fans of our club and I’m also very privileged to be a member on your forum. Please keep up all the good work.
Our New Away Shirt.
Due to copyright reasons I’m unable to put on the forum, the picture I have, of our new away kit.
But I am able to give you a description of what it looks like.
The shirt is white and has a thick blue band running along the top of each shoulder, these tapers into a point and ends, about half way down the sleeve, on the short sleeved one.
The short sleeved shirt also has a blue band around the bottom of each sleeve.
There is a blue band that runs down the seam, from under the arm, on both sides of the shirt, this also tapers to a point and ends about 4 ins from the bottom of the shirt.
The shirt is made by Vandanel and their brand name appears in the middle, near the top of the shirt.
The torquay United badge in on the left of the shirt, just above the chest, it is in blue, but the background is white.
The sponsors badge is before the sponsors name, it is best described as an upside down mushroom, and that is blue, set in a white circle.
The first word of the sponsor CITY Is in blue and without a gap the word LINK is in black.
Underneath this in smaller letters are the words Builders Ltd
Its on sale at the club shop on Friday, so don’t delay, go get yourself one.
