Just as I needed to go, I was worried world war three was about to break out. No need to have worried Dave, "Purist" and I took a leaf out of the books of George Bush and Tony B liar (whoops, spelling mistake!)and carried out the conflict well away from the site's boards...................we're not so silly as that famous old statesman Winston Churchill!

Predictably that armchair expert, promoter of every lost cause sub standard player and all round dimwit and moderator "Fonda" has chosen to find fault with the new shirt already. You couldn't make it up could you! Merse not everyone is going to like the new away kit, we all have different points of views, that is what forums are all about, being able to express you view. I see no need to put personal insults into any posts, no matter who or what we may think of other posters, it is not the adult way. we are all fans of TUFC and as such all deserve a degree of respect.

Firstly, congratulations to Sean and his sponsorship. Good work Like a previous comment suggests, the logo stands out clearly and doesn't occupy the whole shirt like many other clubs shirts. The fact it is not 'emblazoned' all over the shirt makes it stand out very boldly. Whilst I like the new kit, I was expecting it to be another predominantly blue strip with just a few alterations from last season, so this turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Slightly digressing from the main topic of the thread, it does seem a shame that this forum seems to be turning into more about .net and the members of that site than everything TUFC. Dave R has put a lot of effort into making this site different (and in my opinion) better than other forums around (BBC 606 etc.) so it seems a shame for threads to constantly be "anti- .net" and continually mention several .net members. As someone who wants to read about TUFC info, it gets slightly annoying having to sift through pages of digs at .net members who many cant even read what’s said about them. I’m all up for a bit of banter, but what's the point when the person its directed at cant reply?

Thanks for you views chipnicker1,I will however have to disagree with some of you points. It is true that at the start of the forums life, it did get to many anti- .net posts. I really feel that most of those have now dried up lately and in fact we see very few posts about .net now.
I would hope that such posts will stop completely in time, people will have their views and should I really stop them? I ask once again that we do not refer to .net, unless we have to and that we do not attack any of its members or staff. This forum has a great balance of people, who know their football, lets stick to that.

Right, whilst I will apologise for referring to "another site" and one of it's moderators I want it understood that the person who accused me of directing a dig at "someone" on there who could not reply on here was in fact that very person who uses a different name to post on this site.................rather duplicious I would venture...............and less than transparent. Anyway, again I do apologize and will do my utmost to endeavour to keep my posts to subjects on this site; but I do stress that what you get with me is what I really feel and I never hide behind any hidden character or different persona.

Fair enough merse, as you say I was just airing my views too as myself and just wanted to give an honest account of how it looks from someone who doesn't use .net.

Many thanks to Sean for his sponsorship. Just what the club needs as it "builds" for the future!
Not sure about the shirt design. Not a great fan of white and was hoping for somthing a little more imaginative but will wait to see it on Saturday.

Thank you for making that post Merse, I hope Fonda will be happy to move on from this now. Chipnicker1, I'm glad to have people like you on this forum, sadly as you are new, you will not know all the history, between so many of the TUFC posters. All of these fallouts, occurred on another forum and try as I might, I can't always stop it falling into this one.
This thread only changed, because after working over four hours on my main post yesterday, I made one post on here, because my work and been cut from this forum and pasted on another. I knew that might open the gates for someone to have a go about the other forum. If the parts of my post had not been stolen, then this thread would have been just fine. I play my part to keep the forums separate, we just need some members to do their part as well.

What you fail to acknowledge (and what i have told you in private) is that the very reason i signed into this site with a different name was that old arguments from the other site would not be dragged over here. Imagine my surprise therefore when i saw reference to 'Fonda' on this site. The problem here is that you felt justified in making derrogatory comments about somebody that as far as you were aware, was not here to defend himself. Really, it's time you moved on. I'd hope that is the end of the matter, but that's really up to you. And back on-topic. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh. I like white away kits, and hope the actual 'design' and 'quality' is of a good standard.

Crikey, we just won 7 nil, signed a keeper today (at last!) have a pre season friendly, released a new Away kit and announced a new sponsorship deal in the space of a week.
You would think people would want to talk about TUFC on this site?
P.S Well done Sean, Thanks for all your efforts in improving OUR club

Hello everyone. It's a good day. We have a decent team. Things may turn out well.
A sponsor who loves us not for financial reasons. A board not out for their own ends. A manager who's committed and has learned from his first season. A committed squad of players who will fight for promotion.
Bang on! Don't worry, be happy! As the song goes.
Let's be fans for our club and that's that.
I love my team, I like you all, Gulls bless.
Scott.

I personally appreciate all posts on this site. The power of internet has made me feel 'connected' to TUFC again. I've no idea of previous issues with other sites but I enjoy this one and all who contibute. As Dave has said, get behind the team and all else is irrelevant. Peace to you all. p.s. 'Chipnicker' - great name. The Greeks cannot complain that we haven't got a sense of humour. Come on you Turks!

Most issues are now sorted( I hope) yes we must ask the young man why he has that name. Is it that he loves seagulls I wonder? or maybe he only got to eat the CHIPS he could nick. I must do a thread on seagulls ;D ;D I mean I live by the sea and love them, some move here and don't, I'll save it for another day ;
