After such a bitter blow in our game against Coventry, the team can now get back to winning ways you would think, If we play only half as good as we did in our 4th round FA Cup game, we really should win this game against Lewes comfortably.
I think we know the line up will be the same again as Bucks now sees that as his best side to start games with, I would just like to see Green stay on for the whole game. Two of the last three games when he has gone off, we have then conceded a goal, that in both games turned out to be the winning goal.
I expect it will be a low crowd and not sure how many TUFC fans will make the trip, I do think we will win the game by two clear goals and Sills is overdue one and this I hope will be the game that gets him back to scoring ways.

A big kick in the teeth for all the players.
Confidence will be low, still no spark in front of goal.
Drab Draw Dearies!

How can you say confidence will be low? the players will feel very confident after out playing two teams from the championship beating one and very unlucky against the second one, we will win the game and win it in style.

I really hope the performance yesterday galvanises the squad even more and doesn't have the familiar undesired affect you often see after such an epic battle. If the players feel anything like I do, more frustration and anger rather than hollow disappointment, it will be a difficult task to lift their spirits. The result yesterday was a real kick in the nuts for all. As a supporter you seem to wait an eternity for the opportunity for your club to beat the odds and get some good fortune. A win yesterday would have given the club a huge financial lift and probably secured our future for years to come with things like a new grandstand actually coming to fruition. We deserved more and didn't get it , its so much easier to accept when you get rolled over easily as we were v Southampton a couple of seasons back. A plum draw would more than likely have meant a £500k injection into the club with prize money gate receipts and tv coverage. All I am left with today is an empty feeling of what might and should have been and I feel the players will feel exactly the same. Can we get promoted via one place in the play offs or will it be another kick in the nuts! If anything we must now become even stronger and I believe the result yesterday will either make or break our season.

A plum draw would more than likely have meant a £500k injection into the club with prize money gate receipts and tv coverage. I was thinking the same this morning - what price paying £25K for a striker with those rewards. Difficult I know with most if not all players being cup-tied, availability, would they want to sign, would they score the goal. Bit of a gamble but worth a punt surely for promotion..... Shame we lost but what a game, we battered them within 3 minutes of a replay. Well done to the lads. Shame that Chris Coleman couldn't have said the best team lost (well, he is Welsh ) or words to that effect.

weathergull. how some people look at things that happen in life and how they deal with them. will always be different. Its to easy to be negative and let what has happened be responsible for losing confidence etc, it is not what I do and I'm sure we have enough positive players in the team who will look to take all the positives from the Coventry game.
If I had played in that game, one that a championship side should on paper beat us and by a decent scoreline. I would be full of confidence going into the Lewes game. I would be telling myself that me and my fellow players made Coventry look the lower league club, yes I know they passed well at times and had real pace upfront, but we still out played them for most of the match.
As fans we feel gutted and yes the players will be disappointed they did not win, but any player worth is salt will look at the performance and not the result and that is what they should be looking to take into the next game.
Its no good crying over split milk my mother always used to tell me and she was right, we lost and deserved better, but those players should feel proud and not be walking around with long faces and I'm sure they are not. We move on and still have so much still to play for this season and you can bet the team will be up for the challenge on Tuesday night against Lewes.

Fingers crossed the goal-shy Green and Sills partnership will spring in to life at the Dripping Pan. As mentioned on another thread, I'd drop Carlisle for this one as Green spends most of his time on the wings anyway. Thompson in to strengthen the then 3 man midfield, with Dsane more 3rd forward than winger. Am going to this one and expect both Green and Sills to get hat-tricks in a 6-0 romp. Maybe not, but Lewes haven't scored in 6 straight losses. Let's bounce back in style.

If you compare the period Oct/Nov with Dec/Jan are we doing anything different or have changed the formation/line up?
I havn`t seen us play for a while so can`t comment. But was Carlisle absent Oct/Nov? or was Thompson supporting the lone striker?
If we have changed is there a case for reverting back to what we did in Oct/Nov eg rushden away.
It will be interesting to see what we do in the next 2 games. anything other than 6 points and a couple of goals in each game may be looked upon as a concern for the run in.

It doesn't matter how well we play, if we cant rediscover how to score then we will not win the match.

After nearly every game being at home in the last few months, it is going to seem strange listening to the match on the radio. At least I won't have to run(well try and run) to my car to get home and do my match report. So I hope we will still get a few reports from those who are going tonight. I know merse is going, but we may have to wait until 4am for his report, so set your alarm clocks.
With the news that Wroe and Hodges are out for tonight, it will give the chance to two other players to come and do a job, in the hope that can impress Bucks and force their way back into the first team selection for our next game after the Lewes game.
While I think Adams may be my choice to replace Wroe, I expect Bucks will go with Thompson who did well when he played in the hole behind Sills and got us a few goals. If Bucks sticks with Sills and Green up front then Thompson will be played more deeper in the midfield.
Again I would love Robertson to play, but I would go with Ellis, in his last start he was man of the match and also scored a header that one the match. Having Ellis up for corners and set pieces will give us a better chance to get some goals scored and we sure need to get a few more goals added to the total we have got so far this season.

I would have started Plummer instead of Thomo but what the hell do I know!
