Glad that Ant finally got to meet with Rosco as he had sponsored him this season and you may remember the meeting was meant to take place much earlier in the season, only Dsane had stormed out of the club after the game has he had been substituted during the match.
I was aware sometime ago that Dsane had a poor attitude at the club and it was the reason Bucks was prepared to let him go earlier, to be fair to Dsane he did buckle down as at that time he really did not want to leave the club or the area.
Part of the problems with a large squad is always trying to keep all the players happy, even Sir Alex said so himself when referring to Tevez a player who has felt he has not played enough games, mind you he has had more minutes on the pitch than Rooney this season.
Love Dsane or hate him, he has not been that bad this season, I can think of one of two posters who will say they are happy he has gone, but he has scored some important goals that have helped to get us in the play-offs.
I for one have been frustrated by him at times, but I still think its a shame that he as with Woods could not have just seem the season to its end. I'm sure we will hear the line that having Dsane remain at the club will have a disruptive effect and maybe that could be true.
I do hope that another dressing room problem has no effect on the very important games ahead and can only trust that Bucks has taken this action to make sure we have every possible chance at not only getting to Wembley, but winning the final and getting back to the football league.

Dsane has scored many important goals this season but he should remember that no player is bigger than the club they're playing for. Our squad has many good players who can all play their part in the starting eleven. Most take it on the chin and start working even harder, some throw their toys out. Take Kevin Nicholson, he's dug in deep and got rewarded.

If he`s gunna winge like a spoiled brat then he can bugger off anyway, don`t need prima-donnas here especially now, we need warriors!

Let's face it, by the sound of it he released himself by walking out. I don't think he's got what it takes for league football in any case.

Up until the last 3 games he played i would have been one of those, however i felt that his performances in those games were better than any he had produced all season.

Is he free to sign for any of our Play-Off rivals? It'd be a bit galling to come up against him again this season. Despite many people being critical of his performances this season (out of position), he's still managed to prove himself a very capable goal scorer at this level.

I was quite surprised (and disappointed) to read the announcement of Roscoe Dsane's release by Torquay. Like others have said on these boards, Roscoe could be a painfully frustrating player - especially when he missed "gilt-edged" goalscoring opportunities, the type of opportunity that none of us would have missed in a month of sundays!! However, I am of the opinion (shoot me down in flames if you like) that Roscoe has been on occasion as important or integral a part of this season's squad as the next man. Whilst some on here will dismiss him as a player, I would like to stick up for the lad and present you with some stats on our number 10. Just look at his goals this season.......... (9 in 27 league games) which equates to a goal every 3 games - ok it's not "prolific", but it's not the worst ratio I've seen in a striker by a long way. And look at how important his goals were when he DID score. Getting the first goal at home to Mansfield (2-0), the first away to York (2-1) and even his clincher away to Lewes (2-0), meant that Torquay edged through some tricky fixtures this season. Add to that his 2 strikes in a 4-1 home win over Histon, a late winner in that rollercoaster game away to Northwich (3-2), and important equalisers in the home draws against Wrexham AND Grays ( both 1-1). This in mind, I think Roscoe has more than played his part in TUFC's fortunes this term - earning some important points along the way - POINTS THAT HAVE MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN REACHING THE PLAY OFFS!! Okay, I can hear you all shouting "What about his discipline? He could have cost us results!!" Two yellow cards plus 2 red cards (BOTH against Oxford) over the course of the season is hardly the crime of the century is it? Over exuberance maybe played a part in the dismissals, but I don't think for one second that Roscoe is the type of player that goes out to hurt people on purpose - not when you compare him to thugs like Constable or McEvilly and the like. And because we have had such strength in depth this season, the lads dug in and got the results required on both occasions - SO NO HARM DONE!! So, as we prepare for our Play-Off Semi Final against Histon, lets be thankful NOT critical for having a player like Roscoe Dsane in our squad - and be gracious enough (as many were towards Burton Albion yesterday), to thank him for his efforts, wishing him all the best in his future footballing career in the process. All the best Roscoe!! Finally, here's a photo I took of Roscoe after that 1-1 draw at Histon, on the first day of the season, way back in August.

Im also sorry to see Roscoe leaving like this. He's been a good professional by playing and adapting to an unfamiliar role that the manager had him earmarked for...............probably paying heed to his several years' long history of debilitating injuries that have robbed him of the speed over the first five yards he previously enjoyed and (as Kev's stats show) his scoring ratio of 1;3 are exceptional for a midfielder as he is these days rather than the striker he once was. Indeed, in his young days he WAS an exceptional striker with Crystal Palace reserves and then Aldershot. I know he had incurred the wrath of the manager at times with his failure to carry out pre-match instructions to the letter, and I guess he's had to subdue a degree of frustration over that and the "stop start" nature of his season what with a couple of sendings off and injuries; but the nuts and bolts of his time with us is that he has made a significant contribution to our on the field record. However, I trust that should we be successful at Wembley in a couple of weeks, Roscoe will be in the crowd and able to join the after match celebrations. Thanks Roscoe and good luck in the future.

....I liked Roscoe as a player, nobody can argue that he didnt do a good job for us, in that problem position of left midfield. As Kev says.....his goalscorer record this season was good, dissapointing to see him leave in this way. Promotions and success in general can ONLY ever be achieved with EVERYBODY totally committed to the teams cause......his early substitution at Barrow and the comments made later by CH in his blog obviously alluded to a problem......perhaps his departure may, in the end, prove to be an advantage for us.
So we now have to hope that Danny Stevens can keep his little run of form going for 3 more matches, consistency has, up to now, been his main problem......we can't afford him to have one of his "nothing" games, when he's "on" he's a very dangerous and creative player as well as one of our best finishers, in my opinion.
Thankfully our squad looks strong enough to cope with Roscoe's exit.......Stevens, Carlisle (and Carayol) are now charged with the responsibility of providing the ammo for our forwards to fire the bullets leading us back to League 2.

A professional my arse, he`s stormed out a few times, having a hissy fit and throwing his toys out of the pram, you don`t want that in the dressing room at this stage as you need to galvanize the team not have disruptive influences, we need to be together as a team more than anything now.

Whilst I agree with your view that particularly at this intense stage of the season we must have everyone fully focused on the task in hand and not distracted in any way, what I DID say was that Roscoe had been a good professional in the way that he had adapted to an unfamiliar role devised for him by the manager.

Raynor, Phillips, Woods and now Dsane all leave the club under a cloud. There is another senior player still at the club who has qualified to play next year but does not rate the manager.

Raynor, Phillips, Woods and now Dsane all leave the club under a cloud. There is another senior player still at the club who has qualified to play next year but does not rate the manager. Well Hodges can always decline the offer of his 2 year with us and take early retirement then. We could use his wages elsewhere. I'm glad to see Dsane go. There is one thing I can stand from footballers whatever their ability and that is application, work rate & desire ( OK that's 3 points but..) Roscoe is lacking in all 3 IMHO and I think his team mates had had enough as well judging by Greavies Blog entries last week. I'm sure there are plenty of other players in the squad who havn't been happy with our manager and thats the problem with recruiting top players from so called smaller teams. All used to being top dog and now hold a lower ranking in a bigger and better squad than before. Nicholson, Woods, Ellis, Thompson, Brough, Green, Robertson have all been mentioned this season in regards to falling out or being upset with the managements decisions. Some have knuckled down and got their rewards, others have been in the same situation all season. And thats made me think of one player who I can't even think how many appearances he has made in 18 months and now moaning heard from him and thats Adams. Any way we can leave all this until May 18. The SQUAD have got us to the Play Offs 3pts less than last year and with less defeats to boot. I think we all feel more confident with what lies ahead this year. And who finished 4th and on 83pts last season??

O.k. Merse sorry I didn`t realise you had disected the term professional into different catargories and only meant what you said about only one of those catagories, my mistake, and Pikey what P.B. is doing, man management wise is the correct thing in my view and shows he is a good and strong manager. That type of leadership will come through in the long haul!
