It is an interesting list but not sure we should be interested in any of them, because if these players can't cut it in this "Poxy League" as their manager calls it, how are they going to manage in League 2. ;D ;D ;D

It seems only right as we're on the Roscoe thread...................Striker/left winger Lewis Haldane, maybe? I imagine Bucks has got at least two release/target lists drawn up by now. He might get on the Plan B list.

If he can Buckle under, then I'm sure Matt Green willl be of great value to our club in the future - especially if we play at a higher level. He is one of the few who could bring in a decent transfer fee eventually too ...

I would be surprised if Green remained a TUFC player past the summer. It's a shame as he does have some potential but he doesn't seem to fit-in. Time will tell how he does at another club under a different manager - hopefully we at least get a decent season out of him before he does go. If he had the attitude of Mark Ellis who could produce a fantastic performance one week and then get frozen-out of the starting line-up the next but still takes his chance when it gets given to him then maybe he would feature more often. It doesn't seem to be the case. One can only guess what sort of manager Bucks is (other than a manager who has got us into the play-offs two years in row - a first in the history of TUFC!) but I don't think that he is one to indulge and pander to his players. Would he suffer "hissy fits" ? I don't think so......
There's still time for players to go from "zero to hero" just on the turn of a series of fortunate events. I remember Matt Elliot being injured in the warm-up against Exeter back in a festive fixture in the 91/92 season - a terrace boy-boy favorite (at the time) in Chris Curran came-in and payed above himself. It only takes just a couple of unlikely events to see a fringe player be thrust into the action and a bit of luck to be in the right place at the right time - maybe Christie, Thompson, Brough or Adams will one day be revered in the same way that Dobson, Bryn the policedog, Bamber or Danny Hollands are as being saviours of TUFC! This play-off tie is a competition in itself where every player will hopefully get a clean slate and a real opportunity to secure a contract here or at another of the many clubs that will be watching the games over the next few weeks. I guess that wasn't Dsane's cup of tea..........
With regards to players available from Oxford, Trainer played well against us in the 1-1 draw earlier in the season but would he be an improvement on what we have? I don't think so. They aren't exactly players that have been regulars for them - they are generally players that needed releasing to allow their manager improve he squad.

How would that go down at Plainmoor, if he started slacking off in front of the Pop Side!!

Fair point, Andy. He seems to have lost his goalscoring touch, as well. 3 in 34. Also, his nose is often caught offside. (See Crooky Modric)

Have I missed the announcement about this on .com or has it not been on there? It hasn't been on there. Maybe "it's not there" because there is nothing to put on there as regards contracts and registrations. I would be very surprised if a man who has moved his partner and family down to Devon from London were to have "ripped up his contract" as was claimed. Possibly he did rip up his copy, but then there is the club's copy and the one lodged with the Football Association which would be held to be binding. Maybe Roscoe HAS played his last game for the club, maybe he's reconsidered his position; who knows? Maybe he HAS been told to stay away by the manager in the interests of the greater need of the squad to concentrate and focus on the Burton game and maybe that extends to the Histon ones too. Maybe he has been informed that his contract will not be renewed next season ans his subsequent response and attitude were not what the manager considered to be in the club's best interest at this time.............................now where have I heard that one before? Now on "THAT" matter, I assume someone on here saw Mr Woods in the ground on Sunday taking a keen interest in his former team mates ongoing attempts to achieve promotion?

He is one of the few who could bring in a decent transfer fee eventually too ... I would agree with that one hundred per cent. No player is happy not being selected, but different characters react in differing ways, and reputedly one of Buckle's strengths and enduring characteristics was his "kind uncle" role to Paul Tisdale's managership whilst at Exeter City. Stories of his dedication and determination to fully accommodate all the players, needs and problems were an important part of his role to a manager who quite frankly just CANNOT afford to get too close to individual players. That is the way successful managerial partnerships work, and MAYBE that is the role that Sean North fulfills at Plainmoor. Maybe it was the need to change from "kind uncle" to "the Boss" that Lee Phillips failed to embrace when he found life under Bucks so difficult to accept last season. Whatever, I do feel it would be in the club's greater interests to be able to keep and develop Matt Green into a fully fledged and functional professional footballer......................maybe he might start next season out on loan somewhere as Martin Rice and Michael Brough have found themselves? In my opinion, Green shows a vast potential to be a player of some repute, but then attitude is all important in the eventual fate of young men trying to establish their place in a very difficult profession and attitude is what goes a long way with most managers in making up their mind just how much commitment and effort they are prepared to invest in potential; and the individual's attitude is only really fully apparent to the manager and not the supporter.

Dave
I wouldn`t worry about who might or might not be on any victory bus parade if we have one. They`ll all be masked up and looking like a surgeons day out from Torbay hospital, if the media hysteria is anything to go by. So you wouldn`t know whether it was Steve or Tiger, Simon or Pepe, or Dsane or Emperor.
;D
