I am happy to see that witneygull has now decided to come over to this site. The difference on here mate is that each post you decide to make or responde to will hopefully be done in a concise and mature way. On here I can assure you I wont get a pm from the "dotnet admin team" stating that my opinion is not wanted. As you are one of the instigators in my "banning order" and one of the voices having a go about my company I shall treat you with the contempt you so deserve. Go back and tell your master that. your bile towards me and my company has not gone unnoticed. I dont bear grudges however I think I deserve an explanaton why you "went after me" in such a way. Surely its not the ill informed 3rd rate information you have about the Colchester game is it ?
Dave please do not remove this post.

do i take it that Phil & Merse don't get along ?? Do these childish (some would call it banter) postings continue throughout the season, or do they stop when the serious footie starts. I don't even know who "Phil" is, so I couldn't answer with any sincerity. If you do your homework, click on members and select "Phil" you'll see that since he registered, of the 28 posts he's made there are 24 criticising the way the forum is run or taking personal umbrage at others' posts. In my personal opinion that's a pretty poor percentage of contribution to the area of debate, but then that is my personal opinion and not intended as a criticism - merely an observation. I would humbly offer the view that I do attempt to contribute as fully as possible to the aforementioned area of debate, but I do feel I have a right to defend myself against persons who's primary agenda seems to me to be one of personal attack and belittling this site.

If you don't want it dredged up, fair enough.......no agenda.

I have an idea who "Phil" is, but for the sake of anonymity, I won't give details, as this wouldn't be fair. Suffice to say, I think he is a regular on the "other site"

Suffice to say, I think he is a regular on the "other site" I'm well aware WHO Phil is and his only reason for joining the forum. Its a shame that he has never made a post other than to knock the forum I'm trying to build, never mind I will never please everyone. But I will only ever be here to join in and to help members and listen to any Ideas to improve their experience of the Torquay Fans Forum.

I had written a long and rambling response to your thread Sean, but feel airing such things in public will serve no benefit, so I deleted it. If you wish to discuss this any further, I suggest it is done through PM. Rest assured it is nothing to do with any third rate hearsay.

Thanks for that Witney, I feel its better done by Pm in this instant. I ask Sean to keep Pms also to the rules and wishes of the admin team, we are after all adults here and need to act accordingly.

Did you pass Sean my full name DaveR? I do not know your full name all I see is your user name, age and email address. All these are kept private. Even if I did know it, it would never be given to any other member. It is not something I would do. Sean is a member and has no special power and is not treated any different from how you will be treated as a member. I hope that answers your question. Dave R

Dave,
You are correct you did not pass any names onto me. I would never ask you to. Witneygull your name was passed onto me over a month back, as was yorkgull, stuart b & chris hayes. Double standards are here when you have a go about me not disclosing my company links and you dont like the idea that you can bash me and I know your name.

I have no problem you knowing my name, but it is noce to know where it came from. I jumped to the wrong conclusion, for which I apologise to DaveR.

Thats OK, we all make mistakes, I was a little hurt, only because I value my good name, the values I live by, I also run the forum by. All the best Dave R

Well done DaveR and the rest of the team. You were right to set up this forum as there was plainly a need to have it. Hopefully when there will be more interesting news coming out Plainmoor this site will come into its own. At the moment it's teenage kicks on one site and Grandad Merse's trip down memory lane on this one! ;D I think I'll probably flit between the two sites in the meantime and possibly the future. I haven't got any issues with the dot net moderators but I've become a little bored with the level of content and some of the opinions offered by fair number of posters.
I truly hope that this forum will make up for the other site's deficiencies but I equally hope that its not hijacked and mis-used as a convenient vehicle for petty dialogue against the other site (or their moderators), because that's even more boring than listening to some posters on dot net or trying to put myself in a teenager's SMS world and work out exactly what they are trying to say.
Surely actually having this forum in place, 100 members in 4 weeks and being able to get your viewpoint across is enough of a protest without having to go down the road of name calling.

Thanks for you kind words Chris, I let those who needed to let of steam, do so when they first joined. I have made my view point known, about the need for all to move on from .net.
I dread every time it does get mentioned, but I believe most know, that the admin team are not anti.net, we just want to run a forum for the adults fans of TUAFC.
All the best Dave R

Well said Chris H. Can't add much to that other than to advise everybody that the best way to deal with wums (wind-up merchants), that may appear in the future, is to ignore them. If we all can manage to pass them by, in our discussions, we may have an easier life*.
*Whether spending time discussing TUFC constitutes having a life is another question. [glow=yellow,2,300]The missus certainly disputes it and told me so not 20 minutes ago![/glow]
