It's genuinely no coincidence, this site is now pandering to it's loudest voice, the mercurial entity known as merse (all his women now have to be out of their teens, you know).
I've also raised concerns at the seemingly never-ending comments about the other site. but was immediately labelled a troublemaker. If you're not part of the in-crowd your opinions don't count for much.

The answer is simple. If you dont like then go back to the other site or start your own site. No one is forcing you to read this one.

It's funny how the "other" site seems to now have very little moderation and threads such as this. Some of the threads over there may be a bit "lightweight" (But a few seems to be repeated word for word on here), but there is now next to no slagging matches. Conicidence? Firstly welcome to the forum witneygull and thank you for your first post. This thread was started to mark the forum getting its first 100th member. It has changed only because those who expect this forum to prevent Merse making any posts about them feel its fine to make posts about him, that he can't even defend. A case of double standards, just one more thing to add to the list, the reason for this forum. It is not my wish that .net gets talked about on here and if it must I would prefer it is only put in posts as .net and nothing else. I do not feel that I should start telling people what they can post on(unless it breaks the law) nor will I delete words such as DROSS. You are free if you wish to post that .net is a far better forum than this one, safe in the knowledge that I will not edit or delete you post, its the Torquay Fans Forum way. So tell me are you really trying to suggest that moderation on .net is so light now? and the reason is all the bad boys are on this forum. Looking at the members list and you have chosen to become one, I see a list of well known, quality posters, who has joined to talk football. There is only four who .net may see as trouble, Merse, Sean, Jamie and myself. Strange that so many feel on.net that Merse should not have been banned, but any problems or concerns you may have with him or Sean, feel free to use this forum to air them. I'm over the moon to have both Jamie and jimd on the admin team, two very well respected and fair minded men, the sort you would want to have moderating on a forum. Jamie is unable to log into .net, sure we will hear its just a small problem, yet I have three members of the .net staff, as members of this forum, who I firmly believe simply feel they can belong to both forums. Phil how did I know you would jump out, you tell me you have a sense of humour, love having a debate, you forgot to say as long as its on only one subject. I said before and I will say it again, you now have a choice, If you don't like the forum then please leave its that simple. Many will enjoy the type of forum I'm working hard on everday to improve.

If we move on does it mean that you will desist from making anti .net remarks? I asked an admin person on the other board to post a link to this forum rather than just pretend it does not exist. It fell on deaf ears. Shame. What you judge to be "anti .net" is not the definitive Enzo, merely your opinion which you are free to express on here. So why don't you post the link to this site on .net and see what happens? To be honest though, what is the point of posting that link on there................we're getting the quality (I'd even include you in that description!) but as ever, if you forever find my posts to be objectionable to yourself you are always free to either scroll on or ignore if it is that bad. It is not this site that "pretends" anything though is it!

How does a posting attains decibels Phil? I'd love to know. No wonder you take yourself so seriously when you can't read self deprecation in someone else's post. If you find my posts so bad, there is a "Merse Free Site" you can use!

All members are equal, I pander to no one, I do have some members who make a very valuable contribution to the forum and some who don't. wonder what group you fall into Phil

But if i'm an equal, am I not perfectly entitled to express them without you and your rude moderator telling me where to go?

No one is telling you where to go just suggesting the obvious to you ...if you dont like it then dont use it. But you wont do that will you? Your lord and master needs his lapdog to keep an eye on things and report back what is being said.
Oh and talk about elephants as much as you like.....its allowed here.
Jim The rude moderator...lol

Jim The rude moderator...lol Your responses are getting more and more ridiculous and insulting. It would appear that you find it appropriate to insult me just because I have a different standpoint to yours. Perhaps that green writing is giving you a false sense of importance, either way there is no need to be so rude to someone who you simply disagree with. No, I will happily stay here and give my views when I wish to, isn't that what this forum stands for?

Does a "loud" shirt need decibels? One thing I don't sense in you is self-deprecation. I frequent a merse free site along with this one. By your reasoning then this is a loud postingBut is this the type of posting I normally make on here? As this is the first "loud" posting of this type you had better look away Phil, or go running tittle tattling that "Merse is at the colour button on the other site!"Because you don't sense something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, for instance you may not sense someone behind you with an axe, but you bloody would when your head falls off!!!! ;D

Being new to this reading and writing on 'forum' boards, with the exception of a few posts on the 606 website, and having not seen the .net thing everyone talking/arguing about;
do i take it that Phil & Merse don't get along ??
Do these childish (some would call it banter) postings continue throughout the season, or do they stop when the serious footie starts.
I have read posts about would people would like to see happen at Plainmoor before a game. Well could i make a suggestion that perhaps Phil & Merse get it on with each other, around about half an hour before each game, maybe one week in Sumo suits, the next week giant boxing gloves, then maybe big girls dresses etc, you get the drift.

Sadly some people only join a forum, just to cause problems, Phil is one such person. You will find that Merse makes some excellent posts, just needs to forget .net. I'm sorry you have had to read theads like these, but I will not delete the posts made. Thanks for joining, you will find most of the members are only here to talk TUAFC. Dave R
