Personally, I blame Chelston who asked me to try and extrapolate the figures. Poor old Chelston gets blamed for everything. From dodgy curry deals to cream teas with out of kilter toppings to extrapolations!

Twists and turns continue with Sutton now able to become Champions if they win all their games! Hartlepool are now effectively out of the title race as they cannot get to 80+ points and are struggling to make the top three and will be looking for either Stockport or Sutton to slip up mid week with the top four still due to play each other and likely to drop points.
1) TORQUAY: Average opponent league position 14.00 Number of top 7 opponents - 1 Current points: 77 Max points 86

I believe Stockport will win all of their remaining games. Sutton may drop points against Hartlepool and Maidenhead. We will win all bar the Stockport match. The whole thing may well be decided on goal difference on the final day.
Stockport, for me, are present favourites. No doubt third favourite with bookies.
Fine margins now, as if we get a win at Stockport, that will make things a two horse race between us and Sutton. I don’t see that happening, though. But a bloody good incentive to win next week. As if one were needed. A point will not be a bad point next Sunday.
Sutton will crush Woking on Tuesday and extend their goal difference as Woking are presently shite and disinterested. Stockport have a trickier fixture against in form Dagenham and Redbridge who have now won 6 on the trot, including presently shite and disinterested Wealdstone.
Law of averages says at least one of my guess permutations is incorrect. All to play for. I also predict that Grimsby and Southend will be relegated despite their f**k**g cheek of an appeal against it.

I believe Stockport will win all of their remaining games. If that's the case they will be promoted as either Champions of play-off winners.

Stockport County will not win all of their remaining games. They have been on a winning streak against clubs fielding teams comprising their youth players, a couple of programme sellers, and the tea lady. These clubs will have lulled Stockport into a false sense of security, and they are due for a massive shock when they come up against Dagenham and Torquay.
If Stockport get 1 point from their next 2 games then I will raise an eyebrow in surprise! 😉

It should not be overlooked that we have won 6 of our away games against the next 8 teams in the table (draw at Notts County, Stockport to come). Three of those wins were achieved early in the season, but the other three (Sutton, Wrexham, Chesterfield) have come in recent weeks when, as everyone agrees, we were putting out "weaker" teams. We should have nothing to fear from Stockport as long as we keep it tight at the back and press them from the start. As has been said, some of their recent wins have been at the expense of teams which have given up the ghost for the season.

If we did end up in the play-offs, probably with just the one home game to get into the final, then would prefer Stockport to go up as champions as they would possibly be the hardest team to get a result against in the final but then may change my mind by next Sunday as a lot of water to still flow under the bridge....

No reason at all why we cannot win at Stockport County and stay on course for a top of table finish. As stewart points out Stockport is the only club of the 8 immediately below us in the table that we are yet to play away. Of the other 7 we won 6 and drew 1. The draw at Notts County we edged and who could forget Umerah with a seemingly simple tap in for the winning goal losing balance and the ball coming back off his heel?
All to play for still. It reminds me a bit of our last promotion to League 1, where in the final run in we kept missing chances to put it in our own hands, thus resulting in that last day dramatic finale at Southend!
Hold the nerve! 😉

Had a look over on the Stockport County fans forum Yellowboard to see if they had anything to say about our game next week, and thought I had wandered over to BTPR! The recent posts were dominated by the Political Thread, the HS2 thread, and a Boxing thread. Perhaps BTPR should go in for a twinning arrangement. 😉
It was a struggle to locate the football content although when found there are some nice comments about Torquay United.
Overall though they seem quite relaxed....hopefully too relaxed. I suppose you are bound to feel a little relaxed after banging in 4 goals per game against teams fielding their programme sellers and tea lady for weeks now.
If the team is in the same frame of mind and thinking scoring and winning is easy it could work in our favour.....😉⚽️
