No matter where you stand on the FA trophy debate I think in light of our recent history most fans would look at this fixture with trepidation, not in terms of the score but as to how many players will end up being crocked! With a combination of an ever growing injury list and some of those fit being cup tied, adding to a probably suspension for MacDonald then there is little room for maneuver. Covolan has recovered from an ankle injury and begun training this week, so maybe he can be rushed back? If not then it is a baptism of fire for Collins. Personally I would like to see Whitfield, Hall and CLE either rested or benched for this one as they cannot be replaced but Johnson will know who is most in need of R & R. If Sheaf is fit and doesn't start this game then there is little point in him being here, particularly with Buse giving support and doing well on the right.
At the quarter final stage and with only up to 2 games left after this then we are fully committed to this competition, as Johnson always has been and a possible trip to Wembley beckons. Those eleven players selected will no doubt give everything to come out on top in the game and will leave nothing out on the pitch. The FA Cup defeat to Woking just over 2 years ago, a game we dominated still rankles and a place in the semi finals would make up for it but I would swap both for the league win.
So Woking haven't been on the best of runs themselves. They won at Barnet on Saturday but you have to go back to 12 December for their last league win, a good 3-0 though against Hartlepool! However, 10 points off the play offs and 7 points clear off a largely defunct relegation zone probably means this is a game for them to target despite a difficult away trip to Altincham just 3 days later.

Will be interesting to see if Covolan or Collings is risked. Or do we bring in a short-term loan?
With Boden, Slough and Koszela all cup-tied in addition to Hamon, we won't have much wriggle room.
Glad we have no game Tuesday, so that eases things a bit. Hall absolutely must be rested though having put in 2 x 90 minutes. Sheaf should be able to slot into centre-midfield.
Umerah and Street ready for a start. Perm two from them and Walters up top and you could then rest either Lemonheigh-Evans or Whitfield or they could game share a half each.
Would be nice if one of Moxey or Warren or Kerr could make up the the back four and release Andrews to play left midfield. You could then rest both Whitfield and Lemonheigh-Evans. You could also do that by introducing Owen Price at left-back but I doubt we will add him to a defence short on experience.

Rest as many as we can should be the policy for this one but difficult with many cup tied or injured. A win and progression at a cost of more injuries to cope with OR defeat and no injuries?
I know what option I would take.

Just paid a steep £12 for today’s game. link - there had been a lot of coverage about our goalkeeper for this game or lack of one with speculation that an emergency loan will be brought in.

there had been a lot of coverage about our goalkeeper for this game or lack of one with speculation that an emergency loan will be brought in. Unless Covolan makes a surprising recovery, this must be the least improbable solution. Remember we had a similar situation back in 2010, many of the same points made then as now. torquayfansforum.co.uk/thread/5126/loan-keeper-notts-matchEnded up bringing in Steve Collis - the man who used to give Gary Johnson headaches deciding whether to leave out him or Chris Weale. I did check out Dan Lavercombe who I am sure would love a week or two in Torquay, but he is Cup-tied having played for FCUM. Another Torquinian Harry Lee, younger than Collings, is regularly on the bench for City so unlikely. Argyle’s number 3 Ruddy seems the obvious one.

Line up - looks like Lewis out with concussion but should be back for Hartlepool Buggar. Real bare bones now with nobody back from injury. Sheaf in for Lewis and three kids on the bench to make up 5 of the 7 allowed. Assume Andrews will play left back. Hall centre back? Or Buse or Randell right back with Wynter in the centre?
