Possibly, although I suspect GJ will be thinking of proven players on the whole and perhaps would prefer to get most of any new incomers signed well ahead of the new campaign?

21 year old Bath City centre back Robbie Cundy, who impressed against us, has been signed by Bristol City. Played 48 games in the meanest defence in NLS last year. Would be a very decent loanee, IMO? www.thenationalleague.org.uk/robbie-56935

To be fair, he has only just signed for them from NLS, so it won’t have been a marquee signing in a Championship club supporter’s eyes. If we get him on loan, that would be an important part of our spine sorted. I expect we will also go for a right sided defender as back up to Ben Wynter and recently released Daniel Leadbitter certainly fits that bill. Obviously, we have left back cover in the form of Ryan Dickson. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-leadbitter-sinclair-released-2844676.amp Always thought Stuart Sinclair had a bit about him in the middle of the park, too. Injury and age/recent playing opportunities would be reasonable arguments against Leadbitter and Sinclair, I suppose. But plenty of pedigree there if they are on Johnson’s radar or might be interested in National League football. Like others, I’m not convinced Koue Niate will shine at the next level. Him and Cameron looked great together for a while early on last season, but that early promise faded. As for Kieffer Moore - If City want him, it is unlikely be to loan him out to a National League side. We’ve had our enjoyable cameo. Not that I’m saying him coming here was being suggested.

Not seen it mentioned on here, but Manny Duku has been transfer listed by Cheltenham. Johnson signed him for Cheltenham and Cheltenham refused our request to have him join us on loan earlier this season just gone according to a Gloucestershire Live article around the time GJ was unsure if he could extend Saikou Janneh’s loan. He is surely near the top of GJ’s wanted list, I’d’ve thought.

Hate to put a damper on a great season but we will be competing with Barnet Barrow Chesterfield D+R Halifax Hartlepool Notts County Stockport Wrexham and Yeovil next season.Several other good clubs not mentioned. Getting promoted won't be easy for anyone. Hope we see a lot of good signings over the summer.

Yep, it’s the next level up but all those teams whilst having the potential to be a lot higher are where they are because they are not up to league standard. Better to be going up to a league on a high and with the backbone of a settled squad than in disarray from a relegation.

link - couple of signings really close, may be this week even. Hint they may be from league 2 clubs, possibly from Cheltenham?

That Devon Live site is absolutely useless, not only for its content but also for the difficulty in scrolling down a single page. It's rather like trying to use a Phillips screwdriver on a flat blade screw.

All quiet on the western front? Any transfer rumours floating about? Worthing FC have just posted on Facebook that their keeper Lucas Covolan has just signed for us. “We would like to congratulate and wish the best of luck to another hero.... ........Lucas Covolan 🙌🏽 Today saw him sign a contract at Torquay United, also looking to fulfil an ambition of full time football. All the best from all at Worthing FC 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 “ #weareworthing

Always nice to get that first off season signing under the belt although looks like this has been ongoing since the start of the year when he trained with the squad while recuperating. Brought in to compete with MacDonald as opposed to back up like with Bass last year which is a good place to be. Another signing is imminent as well - link

Good to see we are looking at the lower leagues, how many times have we got a broken down old crock from higher up, who only come to us for a quiet retirement!

Yep, if the Johnsons can see the potential then get young hungry players in as we already have that core of experience in Reid, Dickson, Hall and Davis along with seven other players that know what it takes to win a championship - Vincent being a recruiting case in point although he came from above of course.
