Seems like two signings who actually match the job description.
An experienced centre-back living in Taunton is too convenient to be true. But will he be a John Uzzell or a John Matthews (or a Ryan Dickson for that matter)? Sometimes the man on your doorstep works great, sometimes not. At 35, doubt if he would be here next season, but could be just what we need for the rest of this.
Interesting history. Bristol-born : Mangotsfield, Team Bath, Newport, Inverness, Yeovil, Exeter. Spot the odd one out. Led Inverness to a Scottish League Cup final and a Scottish FA Cup final but missed both through suspension. The Kenny Veysey curse.
I hope the new left-back is more first-team-ready than the last attempt.
Shame Lloyd James did not work out. Thought he was just what we needed and there were signs on his debut that he could deliver when fully match-fit, but has obviously failed to convince Johnson. If Asa Hall is fully fit, he becomes a bit surplus to requirements anyway.
Kalvin on trial at Fulham! If he plays like he can do, he can be Premier League - but may just as well end up Isthmian Premier. I was lucky enough to see him rip Stockport to shreds and dovetail perfectly with Ben Whitfield sharing right wing / in the hole duties. A relegation battle in a struggling team is not his ideal platform, but hope I have not seen the last of him. Pure entertainment when on song.

I’m relieved. I think he has a lot to offer us yet.

Link Nemane signs to the end of the season. Has shown glimpses of good play but with more game time likely to keep improving.

Just as some of us predicted Rob and you can understand why GJ has given him his chance until the end of the season and no doubt an opportunity to earn an extension if he does well. A very good pedigree with time on his hands and one of the only loanees of late that have come in cold and actually made a difference.
Pace and a high work rate that's just what GJ always looks for in a forward, we have some good options in those areas now with Kalala returning to fitness.

link - after lots of talk on social media Keating has finally confirmed that he is leaving. One of our longer serving players and always gave 100% effort out on the pitch no matter the situation, he will be sadly missed and I wish him all the best in the next stage of his career!

link - obviously there is a reason for his departure and that is because Johnson has his beady eye elsewhere!

A trier and I wish him well, but you’d think - judging by all the teeth gnashing on Facebook - that we’d just let Rodney Jack go on a free rather than a player who is probably better suited to the level below where we are playing.

He was popular, partly because he gave it his all but hasn’t been starting regularly and doesn’t really merit a regular start either up front or on the wing. Now needs to play regularly so moves on which is life in football. Just hope we can get his replacement in to improve the side.....

Looks like another “champion” in Niate has left the building if Kalala’s Instagram is anything to go by.
The main question this week is what if any incomings are there likely to be as we are indirectly affected by the transfer window with all the movements going on as the climax of the season comes into view on the horizon.
