Coming back to the NLS discussion, and excluding our loanees from EFL clubs, I see the retention of the services of Dorel, McGinty, Davis, Young, Romaine and Williams as a start. How many do you think will be secured for our ‘one season only’ stint? Does Sam Chaney and the TUCST ‘academy’ turning out for us in the NLS seem as likely? Anyone else have a list of players they would like to see back playing for us next season from what we presently have?

I really don't know what to make of what you say about the future of our club, which is in a deep crisis, in such a carefree manner. Some people have said that your postings should not be taken seriously, and that you are a genius in expressing your controversial views in such a humourous way. Others have said, leave him alone, he is clearly and totally deluded. I have encountered four main theories explaining what drives AJ to post as he does: 1. He is an associate of Clarke Osborne doing his bidding 2. He genuinely is a right-wing nut-job who really does live in fear of communist conspiracies 3. He takes a childish pleasure in attempting to irritate people 4. He is using reverse psychology by supporting Osborne and spreading lies about TUST in such a mad way as to turn people against Osborne and make people sympathetic towards TUST. We can rule out 1 as AJ has been around since long before Osborne started sniffing around and first found fame as a flag waver for Chris Roberts. I had ruled out 2 - although AJ is so convincing at times that I start to doubt whether I should have done. That leaves 3 and 4. My guess is that the answer is probably a mixture of the two.

I've only just read about Hereford possibly ending up in NLN. Had assumed because they were in the southern league they would end up in NLS. You have to divide 44 teams in two, so you split them how you have to. It would not work if all Southern League sides go South. The excellent Tony Kempster site suggests that Hereford, Gloucester and Brackley would be the Northern-most teams in the South as things stand. If Maidstone were relegated with us, that would push one of the three Northwards and if Weymouth or Slough won the Southern League play-offs (as opposed to King's Lynn or Kettering) that would push another team North. www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=15KmbzxlxLo4xNzBvSc4vLugE0as&ll=52.75781301023999%2C-2.2452449499999148&z=7Comparing crowds in North and South is interesting: www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/divisions/3/www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/divisions/2/Half of the teams in National North this season average over 1,000 - whilst not a single one in the South does! The North is a better league to be in if you want to feel like you are still in the National League, but the South is the one to be in if you want to be a relatively big fish.

If he can't deliver on the better place then we remain in the existing place (Plainmoor). As enshrined in the Masters Agreement (stop laughing at the back ) This is proof if needed that AJ is not serious in the stuff he spouts. He has even taken to highlighting the joke and asking for a laugh. The claim that Peter Masters could secure the future of football in Torquay is clearly a joke. Peter Masters has overseen the end of football in Truro after 130 years. They will be groundsharing in Bodmin or Helston next season. Masters had promised a new stadium at Silver Bow but went back on his word. He then promised a move to the Stadium for Cornwall. He is now begging for six million pounds of public funding to go towards the Stadium for Cornwall - saying that it will not be possible for the stadium to go ahead without this. It would be interesting to see what Alpine Joe thinks about six million pounds of public funding being thrown at a loss-making stadium. I am sure that the very suggestion marks out Peter Masters as a communist.

I'm not sure that any of those four theories are really likely to be valid. Most people, including myself, probably don't know much about the intentions or philosophies of the TUST, so there would not be much point in becoming sympathetic towards them. It seems to me that he has invented this idea that members of the TUST are left wing militants, even communists, in order to reinforce the notion that his "Uncle Clarke" is a money-grabbing capitalist, and thus create a heated debate which would leave every other member of this site eager to read his next set of outrageous views, thus boosting his ego. The solution, however difficult it may appear, is not to bother to read or respond to them.

rjdgull Don't worry yourself about not being convinced. If he can't deliver on the better place then we remain in the existing place (Plainmoor). As enshrined in the Masters Agreement (stop laughing at the back ) and further guaranteed by the vast tomes of legalities and conditions that the Council, Riviera Macron, and every other Authority that will be poking it's nose in will insist on. I'm not sure how many past projects could be classified as similar to this one. A modern Events Facility should be welcomed by most. Comfortable up to date amenities for the football fans and an array of attractions for the community as a whole. Widespread support I should imagine, but for a tiny minority motivated by the fact that their own organisation needs to keep the club at Plainmoor in order to ever achieve their own particular ownership dreams. It's a vast contrast to, for instance, Swindon where you're trying to build something for outdated sports such as speedway or dogs or whatever. It's the opposite situation there, whereby a few followers of those last century sports are in favour, but the rest of Swindon either doesn't care or are grabbing at any straw to get it stopped. I think some house owners are even now, at this late stage, doing all they can to prevent the dogs or the bikes from getting their newly built facility in Swindon. Once the majority of our town get the chance to express that they're also supporting those important groups already fully aligned in their wish to see this exciting forward thinking project get underway, the Militant minority and their Red Star Gulls pipe dream will be swept aside for good.

Plainmoor cannot offer anything remotely similar. I think Plymouth's ground had Rod Stewart and Elton John a few years ago. This June Yeovil Town entertain a.ha - much better than that Yellowfest II crap that was on offer!

torregull From the information we've been given by our current Chairman and from our previous Chairman, it would indicate to me a sufficiently large grouping of Councillors, and also The Mayor's advisory team. I don't know the format of meetings or communication between Club officials and these local bodies, so perhaps 'groups and or individuals' would be preferable wording. Chelston makes a great point, and it just emphasises that Argyle with their ground situated in Central Park, and with vast swathes of car parking immediately outside the stadium, can cater for big events. Whereas Plainmoor is hemmed in, and with housing so close that a ball kicked over the Popside roof lands in front gardens, and has to think much smaller scale like the unfortunate Yellowfest II. I've not been to Yeovil so don't know what it's like, but their website tells me there is parking on 'both sides of the ground'link[ Huish Park, Yeovil
makes you realise why Clarke Osborne has been so keen to emphasise that the Osborne Arena will have 'acres of car parking'. Sounds as if we'd be able to afford Elliott Romain just from the car parking fees alone. Having noted the list of talent Rob would wish to see retained, it only underlines why it's important to get those additional revenue streams on tap as soon as possible.

I am sure that the very suggestion marks out Peter Masters as a communist. Indeed. He’s even reckoning a large group of councillors may be ‘aligned in the Stadia 2020 vision’ in his last post. Along with local UKIP councillor Julien Parrot, local Conservative and Lib Dem councillor groupings clarified their contrary view to any so-called alignment fairly quickly after it appeared in that Club Statement. More imaginary communists? Some may have felt it appeared that Osborne was not being truthful with that statement. Rehash that old ‘acres of parking’ chestnut last heard but not now to be delivered at Swindon, though, and AJ’s back to his daft parody in the blink of an eye.

Dunno. Probably. That’ll be the festive period fixtures this coming Christmas. Hopefully we will be at the right end of the table.

We knew it was coming. It could still get worse if we start to struggle in the division below where we will possibly witness even poorer signings and further decline. Unless of course there is a genuine desire and ambition from within the club and from the owner to turn things around and have us pointing towards the top of a league table for a change. Can anyone here see that passion and desire?
Forget this disaster of as season - time to put it to bed. If there's any genuine intention we should be hearing some loud noises from within the club now! We need a rallying cry and some signs of ambition - NOT ANOTHER MEANINGLESS EMPTY STATEMENT.
Planning, researching possible signings and putting things in place now rather than the lazy way we have approached pre seasons in the past that have seen us fail to produce a competitive and able squad. Sadly I can't see it happening somehow TUFC are just a pawn in a businessman's game that will continue well into the foreseeable future.
Stand by for even more misery.
