Probably about as good an appointment as we are going to get and there is a good chance it could work. The process undoubtedly took too long and makes the job that more difficult for the new man. As for Nico, the Williams saga does not reflect too well on him but still think there were a lot of mitigating circumstances and he had with very little support so I will reserve judgement until I see how this season pans out.

The length of time may well have been influenced by a notice period at Bath ? Oh, and Williams had only scored once till last night unless I'm mistaken (always happens with ex players or so it seems)...

Good luck to the new coaching duo. Could have been a lot worse I think. It will be interesting to see which players leave and who comes in. Next ten games will be critical.

The 6 match wait was amateur from TUFC as 10 games have now passed with 3 solitary points on the board. However, I am happy to have Owers and Kuhl now running the on pitch side of things. Kuhl is no nonsense. A hard, but fair, type. The Reading, Bristol City and scouting contacts they both possess, as well as their background in developing young talent, are impressive attributes. It could and may work well. Like most, if not all, I wish them all the best in what is a difficult task ahead of them. Looking forward to hearing from them and seeing much improved performances on the pitch soon.

If anything it looks as if KN knew how to get the best out of Williams Benched for large parts of the season and dismissed as not tracking back enough? I'd say the opposite was quite possibly true. Now that he's got his 'return' hattrick, the recovery process on that player mismanagement is done. Time to draw a line under recent rubbish and hope the new management duo perform better than their predecessor.

Williams was mis-managed last season - possibly due to Nicholson's stubbornness.

Now that he's got his 'return' hattrick, the recovery process on that player mismanagement is done. Maybe. He still managed 39 league appearances in a 46-game season. He may not have started every game but he had plenty of opportunities to show his worth. 21 starts with 18 from the subs bench and 10 goals.

The absurdity of wanting to radically change the player at his age when what you signed him for was, as per Nicho's previous quote, 'guaranteed goals', was my primary bugbear of Nicholson's tenure. I know others had many other bugbears. That's all gone now. New beginnings under the new 1 and 2. I hope it doesn't take them too long to make their stamp on proceedings. Rumour has it there is likely to be a new loanee winger available for Saturday. Bring it on.

Just watched the new manager Gary, on the official site. Answered the questions put to him in a level headed and clear way. Agree with him about keeping thing's simple at the start not overloading the player's with to much information. Good first impressions.

Well, I for one got the outcome of this wrong. Oh Mr Osborne you are awful...but I like you! Interesting to see what happens on Saturday, and how fast this guy can get loanees in. Well that's not bad, two days to get in the first loanee. I wonder how long it will be before the next one? Monday will be fine!
