Register A sharp knife to slash the tyres concealed in that rolled up copy of the Guardian possibly, but to actually burn the coach to a cinder ! Should this prove to be the work of the Militants, I think it would demonstrate how rattled they are at the moment. Their attempts to pressurise G.I into a rushed appointment, indicate to me that they're very concerned that real progress is being made on a top quality new Manager. I've even heard Des Bulpin's name mentioned ! You know how devious they can be Reg. The calls for a quick appointment over the right appointment, are only designed to serve their own ends. Clarke is standing firm in the face of their intimidation, sees through the tricks, and won't be shifted from the sustainable future as mapped out in the 5 year plan, and to be overseen by the local board. #DeviousReds #WhenTheTimeIsRight I didn't think it would take you five minutes to try and tar the TUST with that story, I hope they sue you. Remember the Torbay area has suffered a spate of arson attacks in recent years. Only a few years ago several buses were torched at Paignton bus station.

Pausing briefly from our Alt-Right militant brandishing his financial clout in legal circles, I understand the HE podcast is expecting an announcement by close of business tomorrow.

For Christ Sake ( just a figure of speech) TUFC pull your friggin figure out. Get a new manger named, uncertainty isn't good for anybody. Our team has games to play, a battle to take part in, nothing and I mean nothing is given you for free!! You have to scrap, work, learn study for every bloody thing. If you're not willing to put yourself out, "step" up to the plate, you lose. The bleedy management in place at the moment are making our club a laughing stock. We can draw in 1800 to 2300 in the National League (depending on our position) a good support structure good stadium at our level. We just want leadership, investment, purpose, drive, ambition no passengers. If that happens the supporters will back the club 100%. Honesty seems to be in fashion at the moment (in book it should always be that way).In that spirit GI, Chairman (Clarke) get on the official site and tell us you plans for now and the future in plain language, clear and ambiguity do that and you'll get respect for being honest and putting your cards on the table.Rant over. jj fed up.com.

Nice post jj....think a lot of us feel the same way. By chance I am just reading a wonderful book called Legacy by James Kerr. The book ( based on the rebuilding of the All Blacks ) examines how to build a winning culture at a sports club or business institution. This should be required reading for everyone associated with the running of the club. I have been a teacher and coach for over 40 years and this is the best book I have read about building a winning culture.

I've been involved with Rugby, Football and Athletic teams playing, coaching, managing and refereeing at many different levels. This conversation wouldn't have come up but ha ho. I know what it takes as a player to train, play, win, lose in all weather conditions. Coach in the rain when the parents dropped their kids off and drove away to go shopping. Managed teams at both ends of the table, trying to motivate my player's against teams 10 / 12 places above you!! Run in lung busting 400 metre race's sub 50 not being able to talk after no breath. Tackled 16 stone giants at full pace no support anywhere just you and the try line behind you but I never gave up once not once. And I'd do it all again, I wanted to win ( in a nice way) but win in a team as an individual one of the keys persistants.I want to see it in United I look for it in the team in the player's in the captain in the manager. Supporters appreciate it, never give in. If you try hard but lose it can be seen and applauded but at the moment at United it's hard to see a spark of light to ignite our passion our loyalty. Kevin tried his best under different circumstances thank you Kevin for that we know it was difficult but we want the new owner's to commit to our club and don't lady thingy about. Signing off,jj.

Steve Tully reckons Graham Westley is to be announced. With Herrera staying on as number two.

Would not dismiss him out of hand. Has a lot of experience and success with his peak being against us in the league 2 play off final at Old Trafford but his stock has fallen in recent times with short term spells at Peterborough and Newport not going well....

Never sure if it's the same GW that used to own Farnbrough. Lot of bad feeling still around those parts for him if it is.

As rjdgull noted after early success at both Farnborough and Stevenage GW has found winning more difficult in recent seasons. Last four appointments: 2012-13 PNE 25 percent wins 2013-15 Stevenage 34 percent wins 2015-16 Peterborough 45 percent wins 2016-17 Newport 20 percent wins.

Never sure if it's the same GW that used to own Farnbrough. Lot of bad feeling still around those parts for him if it is. Same person. Still very much the prime hate figure for the football going folk of Rushmoor - Farnborough and Aldershot. I'm almost sorry Aldershot away has happened this season as it would be an eye opener for many of us lot to see the hostility toward him that is still held. Think 'Paul Raynor flicking us the V's for 90 minutes' and how you might react. Farnborough - the Town suffix went with liquidation - now have Spencer Trethewy at the helm. Now known as Spencer Day he was the 17 year old responsible for Aldershot's - they gained a Town suffix with their Phoenix club - demise, later going on to have a prison sentence for Companies Act 'irregularities'. Below link is an article that deals with Westley's time at Farnborough Town. twohundredpercent.net/100-owners-number-75-graham-westley-farnborough-town/Next link is a recent article by Westley after he was sacked from Newport County. I see merse has posted on torquayfans.com "There is a possibility too that considering his business interests he might be bringing share ownership to the table too". I have posed the question as to why he mentions this on BTPIR, as I don't believe Westley has owned a football club since Farnborough Town, albeit emphasis may be on the word 'possibility' rather than the rest. As anything may be possible, of course. The below article, if you can see beyond the obvious "CV to next employer" nature, gives some insight into the man and manager. I feel sure Flo will like it for one. www.theleaguepaper.com/featured/7617/exclusive-given-time-i-would-have-done-better-at-newport-despite-lack-of-resources-writes-graham-westley/Football under him will not be pretty. We will evolve into something physical and cynical. Plenty of gamesmanship. But set up to be hard to beat. Those at Old Trafford for the Buckle play-off final will recall us being outmanoeuvred by Westley that day. Those at the Crawley 4th round FA Cup before they got Man Utd away will recall a similar feeling to that Westley brought upon us at Old Trafford. Personally, I felt sicker after Crawley. I saw Jon straight after the match that day and the words Man Utd away were mentioned. Anyway, I digress. And that was obviously Steve Evans and that colossal bastard, Raynor.

Hmmm, picking up a line from the 200% conclusion about his time at Farnborough, "asset stripped it in the most transparent way possible and left it, effectively, for dead" does fill me with some trepidation although he has been a manager in the traditional sense since. Maybe the club have now found a manager prepared to enter into their new way of thinking?

Finchgull on BTPIR saying Harrop and Chris Rich said the new manager is currently under contract elsewhere, with Harrop saying today at the match that it is not Westley. Latest speculation is that it may be Brackley Town manager, Kevin Wilkin.
