Well at least it's an upgrade in what we've got!  Sadly though, it's the systematic abuse of our armed forces by past and present government's! We all know where our money goes, and we all know where it should go...well maybe not all!  |

No proof that Bloomberg might still not have been the strongest performer in a head to head with Trump. Over the last few months Trump has clearly been targeting 'Mini Mike' far more than any of the other potential Democrat candidates, and I took that as a sign that Bloomberg was the opponent he'd least like to face.
Now with Bloomberg's money additionally thrown behind his campaign, Creepy Joe looks to be in a strong position. The Democrat establishment always had plans, it seems, to once again make sure Bernie doesn't get the nomination, so it looks as if his own Party will put the kibosh on Sanders without Donald needing to lift a finger. Biden, for all the Party and media support he's getting, has obvious frailties, that by November might be even more difficult to disguise.
Donald still looks to be in the driving seat for re-election,but a lot can happen between now and November.

A simple fact. Only three incumbent presidents have lost the presidential election since the second world war. That makes almost any incumbent a sure favourite.
If you look at recent elections involving an incumbent President you would be struck by their mediocraty; Bob Dole against Clinton in 96, John Kerry against Bush in 04, Mitt Romney against Obama in 12 (all of them previous failures at getting their party nomination), and now this bunch of geriatric no hopers.
Anyone with serious ambitions of getting to the White House will wait until there is no incumbent in office before spunking their money.

It's all gone so quiet on these threads recently, and I really hope that none of the regular posters have been affected by this terrible virus, but perhaps some views will be forthcoming on what is currently happening in the USA.
Trump's latest comments can only lead to one conclusion. He appears to be more concerned with getting the economy back on track leading up to the next election than with the fact that so many more of his citizens will die as a result of attempting to exercise his power to lift restrictions.

Agreed, as a businessman Trump’s focus has always been on the economy and was why he got elected in the first place. To some extent, it is not up to him but the individual state governors as to whether the state is on lock down or not which does makes it hard to coordinate an overall strategy across the country. Quite a comparison to the CCP response once they took it seriously In Wuhan.
However, he is taking a big risk in trying to ease restrictions and supporting those anti lockdown protests could ultimately be setting up his country for second or even third wave right around election time and while election issues generally boil down to “it’s the economy stupid “in the USA, having your relatives dying is not a vote winner and even another lockdown later in the year with the associated economic effects will not go down well.

I wonder if he will put himself forward as the first recipient of the disinfectant injection? People talk about having a brain and being dangerous, but what can you say about someone who has nothing between his ears? It wouldn't surprise me if he loses next November based on just that one comment.

I see experts are having to warn US public not to even try this or drinking disinfectant. You couldn’t make it up, could you. He is such a dangerous idiot. Still managed to give himself a pat on the back for the finding the virus lives less time on surfaces in direct sunlight. I believe his next idea was for UV light treatment on hearing that. He needs shutting up for the good of everyone. The stable genius may just be a narcissistic moron. |
