So who do we reckon will be leaving the Cabinet on a point of principle today? Although as we are still leaving the EU they may feel they don’t need to for reasons other than their own career ambitions. Well, looks like a position has been agreed amongst the cabinet. Just the rest of Tory party, country and the EU to get on board! No idea what this means yet but some form of compromise was always necessary to move forward in a pragmatic way. Indeed. The Brexiteers will carry on carping while others try to get out of the Brexit mess they created. I see there were precisely zero resignations. What a surprise. Davis, Brexit poster boy battlebus cretin Johnson and that tw@ Gove obviously collectively fully behind trying to negotiate the new Government Brexit plan. Not been a plan put forward that might save jobs and trade by anyone else sharing their ‘previous’ Project Bullshit views, so I suppose they might as well. How very Leave of them. I see AJ wants ‘No Deal’ now. Maybe. No idea and no plan will always mean no deal, of course.

We do 52% of our trade with the EU (by contrast the EU only does 12% of its trade with Britain). To leave the EU is both economic and national suicide. Brexiters talk about the UK being able to do deals with other countries but at this moment Donald Trump is preparing for a global trade war that will wreck havoc on the scale of the 1930s. In these circumstances we would have been safer and better off inside the single market. I'm not surprised that May has opted for soft brexit because she knows that this country is going to pay a massive price for leaving the EU. Good analysis, Pete. As the law breaking Vote Leave campaign told us a few years ago “Britain will have access to the Single Market after we vote leave. British businesses that wish to follow Single Market rules should be able to”. Project Bullshit with a few Syrian refugee posters and NHS pledges thrown in from its Loony Bullshit fringe was hedging it’s bets back then.

I don't know much about politics but can't the vote be declared void as the information given to voters wasn't accurate, if fact it was down right fibbing of the worst degree?

Well, where do we start on this one: Rob, has already got Ostrich egg on his face by saying there were no resignations after Fridays sell out by May! Of course we all forgive Rob...because he is after all...a Remoaner! Wasn't there some clever clogs on this site who said that the Domino Effect had already begun with the resignation of a junior minister a week or so ago? Well it's now turned into the Snowball Effect with the resignation of DD! May is finished...The EU is finished...I would imagine DD will return as PM, (why he would need to change his name is beyond me...let's just hope he doesn't change his gender...which they seem to do at the drop of a hat nowadays) and will then make the EU one more offer to sort this mess out, and if it's not accepted...we walk! ' Oh happy days are here again........................'

Reading back you may have noted my begrudging admiration for Davis as a man of principle. However, I note Gove and Johnson are fully behind May’s Brexit plans by way of collective responsibility. The two key Vote Leave (illegal) charlatans that they were.
Meanwhile on here, our Brexiteer Bremoaner is back deciding the EU is now in tatters because our Government is. Brilliant stuff. We’ll be getting a chorus of Rees Mogg, Reed Mogg next. Another happy to carp from the outside about the mess created by Brexit and Project Bullshit.

He’s seen the way is clear to leadership with Davis’s resignation. Bring it on. Has he gone too early? Again? Will Gove be stabbing him in the back again? Is it all about him being a man of principle after all? What a farce. Perhaps they’d like to test the stomach of the voting public again now the mess that is Brexit has been observed by all. Perhaps not. Keep on Bremoaning, Reg.

One of the most concerning aspects of Bojo's resignation letter, is that he clearly indicates a strong belief that shameless Tezza could well be gearing up to sell the country even further down the river. If what came out of Chequers seemed bad, just wait until we find out what she really plans for us to end up with. Here's a section: link - Bojo Resignation Letter

He has tried to evoke the Geoffrey Howe resignation into his leadership declaration. Nice touch. Much like his naked ambition, that won’t be lost on fellow Tories.

For Jeremy Hunt, perhaps. Much better value at 12/1 than Sajid Javid at 9/2 favourite.

I see that our illustrious leader (May), went to see her illustrious leader (The German chancellor) last week! It seems that May was ordered by Merkel to run her latest capitulation version of Brexit past her (Merkel)...before she (May) ran it past her own parliament! We seem to be waiting for some sort of 'White Paper' at the moment! 'White Paper'...'German Chancellor'...'Prime Minister just back from Germany' ~ what does that remind me of?

Register We may need a bit of a clue, Reg. There are a good many who believe it's more likely that Theresa the Appeaser went to Merkel to collect the Brexit plan, rather than to show Merkel anything that Tezza had come up with herself. Was it constructed to a greater extent in the offices of the E.U, with more input from Eurocrats than there was from Tezza and her Remainiac Government ? I think we know from the comments made by, and the contents of his resignation letter, that David Davis states that this sudden raising of the white flag was at odds with what his department had been working on for a long time. All his work binned in an instant when it dawns on him that Tezza had not only been stringing him along, but the whole country as well. 'Vassal state status, Angela?...that sounds lovely....I'll go home and announce we're signing up for it straight away'Sadly for Britain, Tezza crumbled in the presence of strong and stable Herr Merkel. Returning home to read us the details of the Fake Brexit arrangement, once it had been translated from it's original German.

JUNCKER DRUNKER THAN USUAL ?
The President of the European Commission, understandably celebrated Tezza's complete capitulation to the E.U with a few celebratory drinks. We take it for granted that the mainstream media will either play down or totally fail to mention an inebriated Jean-Claude barely able to stay on his feet. But just imagine what Americans would be saying if it was their President, turning up for meetings of such importance as the NATO summit, trying to hold important talks while p*ssed out of his brains ?
Our media would have a field day as well. Tezza manages to give the old duffer a smile as he staggers backwards.....but it all just underlines our subservience to the shambolic Eurocrats that still rule us.

link not a popular appointment at the time in this country and certainly reinforced perceptions of where the EU was going wrong.
