Perhaps we will get some deserved dollops of luck on Sunday and bang in. Few goals, thus kick-starting our season?

I'm sure that there are people out there that would say that we need to create our own luck - but I'm not one of them. I'd take any luck - deserved, undeserved, conjured up by black magic! If they can play as well as they did against Wrexham, get some luck and a goal or two it will be a good game. Would be great if it kick started a winning run to take us through the seasonal matches. COYY!

Looks like we have had our luck - scraping the barrel with a goalless draw against the mighty Chesham! Lights out anyone?

It's a shock too me we even drew this one,we have now entered the worst phase in the clubs history,to be honest the board chose kn129 it was solely there decision, please in the name of God sponge bob and square pants could do a better job,but hold onto your seats folks I predict it will get worse than this.to be fair they inherited a shambles thanks too mother Teresa and co but it looks like they are determined too carry it on,off to the krusty crab for a beer

At least we did create some chances. As for Nico, he has to be given chance to build his own team which he is having to do from scratch. A player-manager was the most economical appointment. With no money to pay a manager it was maybe the only decision that could be made. As I have said before, don't think the present board can be blamed - they stepped in and saved the club.

Looks like we are in dire straights now after news on the various injured players and the length of time before recovery. The departure of Speiss and Yeoman may free up a few pennies but we are approaching a very challenging time in the matches ahead. If we fail to sign at least a couple of solid replacements then come January our fate will be sealed.

Would be good to see Colin Lee back if this were at all possible. I know most of the bed wetters on the other side believe him to be the devil incarnate but I suspect to have his advice now would be pragmatic!

If I understand things rightly, Colin Lee says he would be willing to take a look at the business and produce a report for the current owners.
If we think back, not too far, to when Thea brought in Kelvin Thomas, was he not, in the early months, being paid handsomely to examine the business from top to bottom with a fine toothed comb, and to produce just such a report and advice ? Then after that we heard that he was scouting around trying to find a buyer. With Thea being Life President (or some similar title) I wonder whether she wouldn't have gifted such an up to date and expensively compiled report to the new owners. After all it's absolutely no use to her gathering dust in a cupboard at home.
Given what I've read about Lee's business skills, which might not all be true of course, I'd much rather be working on and taking the advice contained in a report written by Kelvin Thomas.
I'd think twice, and then probably a third time before letting the 'devilish' Colin get involved again .

Biggest mistake Mike B made was not appointing CL as Manager in my opinion. Sure CL will try to drive a hard bargain but compared to some of the other pillocks who have proffered advice in the past I know who I would prefer!
