Fifth from bottom is indeed the holy grail for achievement this season. The more friendlies the better, too, and I'd add Carmichael to that list of players who need some game time.
If Prynn or anyone else named as sub is to make an impact, they need these games. We have quite a lot of forward players, but for my money only Marsh, Fairhurst and Wright appear to have the qualities we need. And none have had much match practice of late.
Who knows, we might even see a loan trialist or two who could make an impact in the League in these games. That would be nice.

As with any business, your return is very much linked to your investment. With no reserves or cash available for the most basic assets, as in players, we can't expect too much of a return. That doesn't mean that we're doomed; it just means we have to give the team our support and encourage them to squeeze more out their limited resources than our peers with similar problems do. If we can start to emulate the sort of results that Southport and Halifax got on Saturday, we stand a chance of surviving. COYG!

Having seen all our home games including the Lincoln City Great Give Away A Goal game last Saturday and with my glass half empty, I would suggest that the odds are stacked against us staying up this season. My soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is.

Barring a complete miracle there is no doubt in my mind that we are doomed - pretty well all the (limited) options have been explored, the strategies deployed, the promises made and the excuses delivered. As I have suggested before - I just don't think there is anything left in the tank, despite all that has gone before, quite obviously, we cannot deliver the level of performances that require us to win enough games to get out of the bottom four. We are entrenched and the only way is down. Do I want this - NO - I would so like to be proved wrong but this is not about pessimism this is about realism!

Many Buddhists believe in rebirth. If there is no soul, how can there be rebirth?

Many Buddhists believe in rebirth. If there is no soul, how can there be rebirth? A good comeback*
Of course I can take you to a zillion sites where it is explained why there is no soul, and then you could take me to a zillion sites where it is explained why there is a soul! It's just a matter of opinion of course.
I was at a Buddhist teaching last weekend explaining the true nature of reality...emptiness in Buddhism. Which means (basically) you don't really exist, I don't really exist, TUFC doesn't really exist, Torquay doesn't really exist, the planet earth doesn't really exist, our solar system doesn't really exist and in fact the whole bloody universe doesn't really exist! Everything is a projection of our minds...and you think the question of a soul is a difficult subject...try to get your head round emptiness!
I would imagine though that all Buddhists believe in rebirth.
*The greatest comeback of all time though was Lord somebody playing cards with lord somebody else (sorry that I've forgotten their names). During the game Lord somebody turned to Lord somebody else and accused him of cheating! To which Lord somebody else said 'You sir are a cad and a liar, and will either die of the pox or on the gallows' To which Lord somebody replied ' That sir, depends whether I embrace your mistress or your morals.'

Many Buddhists believe in rebirth. If there is no soul, how can there be rebirth? This time next year i would imagine there will be 800 - 900 moaning souls rattling around the Launa Windows Stadium watching Conference South football
