Danny Hollands to join Eastleigh... Eastleigh!!!!! WTF happened to him??? In his 30's now and still lives in that area since leaving Pompey and joining Crewe. And Eastleigh pay well. Can hardly blame him. He'll do well for them.

Courtney Richards joins Macclesfield - good luck to him - suspect he will be missed.

Good to hear that Cap'n Courtney has got himself fixed up with a club for the new season. Should be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome from all when he returns to Plainmoor.

But we need to be looking for a better player in his role and thankfully the wait on him is over. He will get a decent reception at Plainmoor as he is an honest pro who always put in the effort despite his obvious deficiencies. I'm surprised AJ hasn't leapt on the possibility this could open up a space for Judas to return.

As before, I can't see him committing to TUFC over Rovers either. The way he scuttled off last time means combining roles seems unlikely. The Judas.

The biggest mistake by TUFC of this close season. I feel reasonably certain he will score more for Bromley than anyone currently on our books scores for us. Hope we have a decent replacement for his goals lined up.

Hope we have a decent replacement for his goals lined up. Last season was Williams' third best in terms of goals of nine seasons in the pro game. The only manager ever to get more goals out of Williams than Nico was Andy Scott (not the Sweet guitarist). But were Williams' two seasons at Aldershot as successful for the team and manager as they were for Williams himself? No. In the first season, Aldershot dodged relegation by the skin of their teeth. In season 2, they were heading for the drop when Scott was sacked. Maybe Scott would have fared better playing eleven men rather than playing one short to allow Williams to indulge himself.

Maybe Scott would have fared better playing eleven men rather than playing one short to allow Williams to indulge himself. 9 goals maybe but he barely featured until Spring and it could be argued his 9 goals kept us in the division. He was certainly our most potent forward. For a manager who shouts about thoroughness when recruiting, if Williams was such a bad apple, then why was he ever signed in the first place? He was frozen out because he didn't waste all of his energy running back to defend. I feel Williams was badly managed initially by Nicholson and yet when Williams was given a proper run in the team, he was one of our stand-out performers. Hopefully, Pittman will be managed more effectively.

Williams is the ultimate marmite player. I suspect that has been the case wherever he has been. Interesting analysis by Jon.
Nicholson said of Williams "you are guaranteed goals". Could the same assessment be made of JP or Keating? Those playing down Williams' proven goal scoring record would surely dispute such an assessment if relying on past performance.
Describing Williams as a lower league Berbatov and then leaving him out of the side as he didn't do the ugly defensive stuff was a criminal waste of resources for two thirds of last season.
We are now in need of a proven goalscorer. Because we have lost someone our own manager said would guarantee us goals. He needs to find someone else who is guaranteed goals now. Simple as that.

Comrade Rob No more than a stark demonstration that Nico also took into account the 9 nine goals that Willams cost us by refusing to do the ugly defensive stuff, when weighing up the value of the nine he scored. A balanced assessment factoring in Williams 'negative' resource rather than solely trumpeting plus points to the exclusion of his various failings would be more accurate. Although the marmite approach makes for a better discussion
