Shame but I expect it was insured. I do remember though people on either this forum or another one banging on about Keiffer Moore a few years ago. He was banging the goals in for Paignton Saints in about division 2 or 3 of the South Devon League. I must admit at that time I had never heard of him (though I now understand he did go through the Torquay United youth system). Basically the posts were about us having somebody right under our noses who was worth a good look. Well they were right! Don’t wish to blow my own trumpet, but...... |

Bowman was a very impressive player for us. And very unselfish for a forward, setting up plenty of goals for teammates, so you could never determine his contribution to the team effort by whether his name was on the scoresheet or not. Assuming he's fit, it seems like a sound acquisition, as well as pocketing a fine profit on Stockley.

Off the top of my head; Friend, Nicholls, Grimes, Ampadu and now Stockley have all been sold for substantial fees and on each occasion the club have pocketed he cash. Last seasons activity alone - Income £2.29m / Expenditures £97k - Total results +£2.19m Do they need to do this at least once every few years to survive? |
