Oh boy - this news of Chris Todd having leukaemia just brings everything into perspective.
I feel numb.

Oh boy - this news of Chris Todd having leukaemia just brings everything into perspective. I feel numb. Couldn't agree more. All that moaning about Buckle when things weren't going well, all the celebrations when we started winning again and the thrill of beating our all time unbeaten record mean nothing when you hear news like this. I don't know if the players read these forums, but if you do Chris then everyone here is thinking about you and wishing you all the very best.

I know that you are now aware of the news I was given early this morning I want to make a post on these matters later today, but Carol and I have a meeting that I'm dreading later this afternoon.
My thoughts are with the Todd family and when I come home later, I intend to try and give a very personal view point of todays news.
For now my best wishes and hopes go to all that know and love Toddy and I hope everying works out fine for all concerned.

Reading CH's blog gives a real insight to the team as inviduals / personalities (rather than them being robots that play for 90 minutes) - the bonding, banter, humour, the closeness of the players and how they live so close side-by-side for so much of the time. The way the players went-out and played like that last night is astonishing considering what they had to deal with. I'm usually fairly observant but until I got back to the news last night I just thought that the slightly subdued nature was due to the fact that it was "just another win" rather than a "record" - I didn't notice the goal celebration. I did notice last night the way the players supported and encouraged each other - when mistakes were made they didn't point the finger and always backed each other up. You can see how it has impacted in CH just from what he has written - he's a bubbly character but it sounds like he has been knocked sideways - and no-one can blame him. Toddy is very much a real character - a great chap and an integral part of the fabric of TUFC just as he was at Exeter. It goes without saying that we'll support all the players to the best of our abilities in whatever way we can and hope that Toddy gets back to full health and puts this terrible news behind him. <Edit> I also want to pass my best wishes to Dave R and his Family - I hope that whatever happens this afternoon that it is positive news for you all.

Its sad to hear this and I hope you get through this Toddy.
I was told the news after the match last night by Toddy himself. I asked him how he is doing and he said he is trying to live each day to the full and wont let it get him down no matter what, he said he will keep fighting and I know he will keep fighting.
All my best wishes and loe Toddy. Keep fighting.
